I felt the need to resurrect this

for those who can read french
http://www.jp-petit.com/TSUNAMI/poissons_abysses.htm
for the others, use a translator, I will just translate the main information: heaps of fish from the abysses have died and ran aground on the beaches in the Indian Ocean just after the tsunami. The scientists fail to understand why, as an earthquake shock wave isn't short enough to be felt like a blast that would be able to kill thousands of fishes at these depths.

conspiracy not dead!!!

The most devastating nuke ever launched in the atmosphere was done during a H bomb test by the communists, it was about 60 kiloton TNT equivalent. But even at that time the bomb's power had been artificially limited (because of obvious residual radiation and uncontrollable side-effect issues). The nominal power of that bomb, i.e. if it had been launched at full power, was 150 kiloton in fact, which is more than twice as much. Keep in mind that the Nagasaki bomb was 10 times less powerful than this one.
Actually, the Soviet test bomb Tsar Bomba was capable of 100 Megatons, but was limited to ~50 megatons, according to Russian sources.

It would take something like 320 full force Tsar Bomba's to equal the energy released by a 9.0 Richter scale earthquate - click here for the energy release estimate.

Joe Vialls is indeed entertaining to say the least. Joe actually has made some accurate predictions. I remember when there was all the flag waving going on about the easy "mission accomplished" in Iraq, Joe wrote one of his entertaining reports about what he thought would happen. While many of us knew that there was going to be no easy "mission accomplished" in Iraq, Joe managed to predict very closly how the resistance movement would rise up, and how it would be an effective fighting force.

In any case, Joe Vialls should be considered as a fiction writer only.

If you want to read up on more the more serious and plausible "conspiracy theories" I suggest that you go here WhatReallyHappened.com. If you like to debate issues, or read up on a whole range of topics go here Liberty Forum. Some of the people who post are very well informed, while others are probably insane or working for the other side, if you know what I mean. o_O

I should add that the Tsar Bomba was built in 1961, so perhaps there are bombs much more powerfull that could be built today. However, the physics of nuclear bombs remains static, so I'm not sure that a modernized version could do much better than what was done 40 years ago, unless there's another kind of physics involved.

In any event, one would suspect that had a nuclear bomb been used, a whole lot of radiation would of been detected by now.

It should be remembered that 9 on the scale is not simply more than 8, it is multiples of.

That Joe Vialls bloke, really, you know many people could and did make very accurate predictions about the state in Iraq. I did, as did many an expatriot who has lived out there. So did the information minister -people laughed at him because it was his job to back the country no matter how ridiculous the story, but he said it right.

Hey Leagle I remember you from Nukebox, right?

What's fun is going back in there and reading the old posts, almost all of what the "felons" said about the Iraq invasion ended up getting exposed as the truth - yup that's what we got harrased for, telling the truth.

I did some more digging on the Tsar Bomba. It's an amazing story, read it here

Yes, I think I recognise your name, but not from where. I joined in the period Stefan announced his idea, and I followed it up. I left nukebox and returned sporadically when realbot got its own sites.

That made an interesting read.
