Default Waypoint Problem! No path found! - 31-12-2005

I have been working on a waypoint file.

After the bot touches all of the waypoints, it becomes retarded (looking at extremely wild angles, squishing itself against things while jumping, trailing off in random directions, etc), I also get TONS of spam in console:

Code:
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No path found!
Waypoint Problem! No p
It is impossible to use the console for anything useful after that starts.

Please help.

This annoying message means Your waypoints for the map are broken - there is no connection from one node to another - bot can go to some node (waypoint) , but it cannot go anywhere else, because the outgoing connection is broken / missing.

To solve this there are 2 solution :
1. Find better pwf file (with waypoints) for Your map (and don't forget delete map_name.pvi and map_name.pxp files located in podbot\wptdefault - those for old map_name.pwf - this one with broken paths) - use for it Waypointing forum - if there is no pwf You need - ask nicely for it - maybe someone will create it for You or just look into filebase.
2. Fix the problem Your self - go to the Waypoint editor (works only on listenserver) by console command:
wpmenu
then try to find option "save" - if some path is broken - the editor will "teleport" You to the broken path to let You fix missing connection. More details about using wp editor You can find here.

[EDIT]
Moved topic to where it belongs...

Thanks a lot! I did what you said and found that I had a one way path "broken" so i had to change a path from "incomming" to "outgoing"

thanks

btw i waypointed fy_dahisouze (sp?) pretty niceley, the bots even climb all the ladders smoothly and ring the doorbell before entering the houses

only problem is they like to look at wild angles sometimes, dont know how to fix that yet hehe

No - You shouldn't automatically change such paths from incomming to outgoing. I suggest do this if it's really possible (also for human players) one way direction to go. Otherwise (if the human player can go in both directions) - Your path should be "bi-directional".

If it's related only to camp waypoint - You can do only this - remove (delete) such waypoints and place them manually again. Then Your bots should look in correct directions from camp spots. But if it's not related to camp waypoints - You may need to ask about it at Waypointing forum.
But before asking there - try to express more detailed Your problem - try to notice when they are looking in strange directions.

Wow old memories, so nostalgic.

Update:

I learned a lot about programming in pawn and for amxmodx after the first post.

I was working on an enterprise level server for "gungame league" but I ran into some RL problems and now the (valuable) product I had made went on the back burner, and I became instantly uninterested (taking medicine for that now...... heh)

Anyway,
Hope everything is going well over here. There's a special spot in my heart for this combination of programming.

By The way I find PodBot MM to be as valuable as amxmodx itself...

edit: I became very good at waypoint making from scratch, made about 20 decent wp sets from scratch for 10ish maps. If you need one PM me
