go here its the rb readme you just double click on the activates for 1.6 or 1.5 whatever version of cs u want to use rb in. then to deactivate u just hit the deactavates.bat

this is all located (if u extracted it in the correct place)

steam/steamapps/uremail/counterstrike/realbot

Installation for Windows
Please follow this guide carefully.

Unpack the archive to your counter-strike "steamapp" folder, e.g. C:\Sierra\Steam\Steamapps\(your e-mail adress)\Counter-Strike. After unpacking, you should find a folder called "Realbot" inside your Half-Life Steamapp folder.

To activate or deactivate Realbot for any supported mod, simply look into your Realbot folder and run the corresponding script.
For example, to activate RealBot for Counter-Strike you must run ACTIVATECS.BAT and you can play Realbot with Counter-Strike. To de-activate RealBot for CS, run DEACTIVATECS.BAT to play Counter-Strike without bots.
Note: The EXE installer is able to activate RealBot for you.

i can get it to work fine if i host a server.. but not on a rented server.. dunno how
you cant just double click on the ftp file and its open...

Ram, is the server you rent a linux or a windows OS?

Are you talking about the dedicated server that comes with the client side install of Steam and CS, or are you talking about a hlds or hlds_l install?

If it's linux (hlds_l) hold tight because the main man is working on the linux metamod and RealBot at the moment.

If your server is a windows OS (hlds), then you should have no problems. I've gotten both the RBv1.0 and the realbot_mm.dll working on a W2K Advanced server. The documentation on this site is excellent for the Windows install.

On my FTP the default directory it gives me is the CSTRIKE one.. it wont let me go to the regular Counter-strike directory..

Its a rented windows server. It's from http://www.psychohost.com

If you have aim or msn let me know if you can help me get it going through that so we don't gotta keep posting.

You need to get to the folder above the cstrike one. For instance, on my windows dedicated server (hlds), I have the cstrike folder in the hlserver folder. RealBot needs to go into the same folder as cstrike. You might want to contact psychohost and ask them if it's OK for you to add the RealBot.
