certainly if a bot has some representation of its environment, it could add what it has seen through the camera into the environment space, but it shouldn't know where to put it since it hasn't been there, there will need to be some form of idea for the bot how to get to the area it has seen so it can properly link up to the bots map of the environment, as I think you guessed in your first post.
It also depends on which MOD you are playing, how the bot would want to go there or not, if exploration is of greater importance then maybe (such as SvenCoop). Of course it would also be nice to store the information from the camera for later use, maybe next time when the map is running, the bot may not need to look in the camera again
