Default maxbots on a dedicated server - 04-03-2004

First of all, I'm not even sure if realbot is installed correctly. realbot is in hlserver directory and is loaded as a metamod plugin. When the server starts, I get a warning that realbot is not installed in the correct directory. However, when I use the command "meta list", it shows realbot as being loaded.

Now to the real problem. I don't want to add bots manually, I want to use the maxbots command. According to the readme here, the command is "rbds maxbots". Above that, it says to use underscores to separate values so commands look like "rbds skill_1". With all that in mind, I tried using the command "rbds maxbots_8" in my server.cfg file. That of course didn't work, so I tried numerous variations, all of which do not work. Here are all the cvars/commands I have tried putting in server.cfg
rbds maxbots_8
rbds maxbots 8
rbds_maxbots_8
rbds_maxbots 8

What is the real command/cvar to have maxbots set to 8? Do it put that in server.cfg or some realbot only config file (if so, specify where it goes).

The version I'm using is RealBot BUILD 3005 WIP #9

Try this in console:
realbot help
The realbot dll you're using is not realbot AI 1.0, which is what the readme file you were reading was for. Realbot_mm.dll is a realbot WIP version and the realbot AI readme does not apply.
===========================================
I also use hl server:
-------------------------------------------------------
c:\
|_\HLServer
|______\cstrike
|______\dod
|______\realbot
|_______-bot.cfg
|_______-realbot person managr.exe
|____________\dll
|_____________-realbot.dll
|_____________-realbot_mm.dll
===========================================
c:\HLServer\cstrike\addons\metamod\plugins.ini
this file's root is the "C:\HLServer\cstrike" folder, and since you must point your plugins.ini file towards the realbot_mm.dll you must add "..\"before path in c:\HLServer\cstrike\liblist.gam ie:
win32 ..\realbot\dll\realbot_mm.dll
this should fix your wrong directory error.

I understand how to get the realbot_MM.dll file setup but were does the realbot.dll file get configured?

Or is it a dead file now with the updated 1.6?
