Default Bots to scrim against? - 21-02-2006

I know this might sound lame to a lot of you, but I want to 5v5 against bots with my friends. I want it to be very realistic, too.

Guys here... aren't so great, and I want to teach them how to play. They get really discouraged playing against real teams, but they don't care nearly as much if a bot owns them.

I've been using zBot, but the bots don't flash in, they are very unordered and don't buy well. I've been researching this all night, I finally came across this amazing site in the nick of time.

So I'm wondering, are there any bots with good behavior? I can program (C#), are there any C# SDK's out there for bots? Even scripting, that'd be great. Setting up 10-12 strats, bots randomly choose a strat, flash in/nade/etc, that'd probably be pretty easy. The hard part would be adjusting to the other side. I.E. someone always camping B closet on D2, it'd be nice if bots eventually started spraying there. Making AreaMaps (trying to remember what I learned of AI) of damaging areas would probably pretty easy to implement. Someone consistantly killing you within a certain radius, nade/spray that radius before you enter site.

Anyway, it's 2:30 here, I'm tired, good night

No, not C#, only C++.

See the HPB bot for a bot framework, and there is a detailed readme.txt file

*uh oh, thread resurrection!!*

Anyway, unfortunately none of the bots do this well. Most of them however are pretty good with the regular nades... So I'd start there. It should be simple enough to force the bots to randomly buy either a flashbang OR a regular nade, and then the bots use the (existing) nade code to handle both... If I wasn't in senior year of college (and I didn't suck at C++ as badly as I do) I'd help. But most of the CS bots are open source now,
so maybe you don't need my help. If you can get a bot using flashbangs often, I'd like to try it! I might even be able to help with coding in a year or so..

ps, try poxbot v1.03.
