No i have not read the rules but i'm geussing your referring to my language use? Dude, did you read PMB's edit on the first page of this thread, he said "fuck" about 5 times.

And my def. of terrorist? One who kills the innocent for reasons unknown. One who can't be reasoned with. One who can't stand to watch a free country prosper. One who attacks like a coward and then flees to hide in the mountains. One who likes to cut the heads off of people, (i still haven't heard anyone tell me thats wrong.....)

Check your PM.

Look, I'll give myself a warning for bad language. Next time in public, the Council has the right to ban me. Satisfied ?

And once and for all, provide the facts I'm asking for.

Ok, now you're asking for it.
How many world wars was america late for? I count....2.
Take charge is not what america does. That implies that there isn't someone already in charge. The UN did not approve of invading iraq. Face it. People generally view americans as loud mouthed arrogant buggers. Face it. Yankie-land is not the be-all and end-all of societies. Face it. If you really want to go further with that, your country was founded by war - mine by a democratic vote. Does that mean your country is better than mine? No! Does it mean mine is better than yours? No!
Everybody does _not_ look to the u.s.a, it does not police the world, it tries to dominate it.
And if your point happens to be that the yank government only likes to intervene to force its views upon the rest of the world, your bloody well right I proved it!

------ I'll leave above, but apologise for it. Getting worked up, that's all, I shouldn't have, and apologise to everybody on bot-united about it, especially the founders. I would like to say that I don't view the above about individual people, but I do have my views about governments as an institution, and if anyone is offended by any slang (most notably "yank"), it's not meant to be used in an offensive manner, simply the way I talk.

you seem to really want someone to agree with you.. don't have other people fight your battles for you, do it yourself. If you really think the US is expected to help everyone then join the army and help the US do these "humanitarian" slaughters.

Will you stop making up the gayest crap and trying to say it is what i'm trying to prove? I don't want anyone to fight battles for me, haha, i'm american for christs sake. All i wanted people to say was that cutting off heads of innocent people is not cool, how does it get turned into this crap. Much like how this whole thing started in the first place, the video does not tie into this discussion at all, we have a humble brazillian to thank for that. I have to work in the morning, I'll be back in the morning. Good bye for now my friends!

Lots of fun. A plane ticket will be delivered to his door soon. Let's now see if Mr. American freaks out. I'll stop here, because he asked me not to "talk trash" on his back.

More serious matters now: this thread is the shame of this forum. Pure Nukebox style flaming. You get it now why I had insisted in having a no politics clause in our rules ?

Oh FFS - will someone lock this thread already?!

Pierre - I sure do hope you would realize that not EVERYONE in America supports Bush or his policies. This last election, he won by the slimest margin in many years, and I firmly believe that the only reason he won at all is because people tend to back a war-time president/prime minister/whatever - even if it doesn't make sense. And that isn't an American only trait - I've seen it all over the world and throughout history.

To just blanket everyone in America as being Bush supporters is frankly an insult and a slap to the face, and I'm getting tired of hearing it. You don't live here, and you don't know whats going on over here, or how unhappy many people are over here with how things are going. To say that you somehow understand, just because you watch some 10 second soundbite on your local news, or read the postings of some immature 12 year old on the Net, is naive at best, and arrogant at worst. I always figured you an intelligent, rational, mature person, please don't tell me I was wrong.

Whitman - I don't know how to put this to you nicely, but you don't know what your talking about. I wish you'd just step away from the keyboard and pick up a book about history or talk to someone who has actually lived thru the events your talking about, before you start to write about them as if you have first hand knowledge.

Its embarrassing both you and me.

Talk to a Vietnam/Iraq vet - understand what they had to go through thru their eyes. Read a book about the history of Vietnam - you'll be suprised about the true reasons for the war, how the foundations for it started MUCH earlier in time then most people believe, how many people on both sides desperately wanted to avoid the war and be friends, how (ironically) the French played a big role in setting the stage for it, the politics of the time, etc, etc. If you need ideas of some good books to read, I can gladly provide you with a list.

This post is probably going to piss everyone off, but it needs to be said. I will not reply to any post in this thread any further, I have a bot to work on. Thats what Bots- United is supposed to be about:

Bots United is where computer game developers and enthusiasts alike can get together, make new friends, have lots of fun, and at the same time discuss the latest in gaming technologies and development - all under one roof.
This talk is a conter-productive distraction and accomplishes nothing. It belongs somewhere else like slashdot, or some other flame forum.

BTW: tazering a woman again when shes down on the ground convulsing from the last blast, is abuse of power - pure and simple. Her nervous system was in a state of shock, there was no way she could comply that quickly to their request to put her hands behind her back. Anyone who believes otherwise doesn't understand the human body - read a book and understand.
Even if she had attacked them (which I think was just a BS excuse they made up for the camera so that they wouldn't get in trouble), to shock her again was totally uncalled for, and I hope the cop in question got his ass nailed to the wall for it.

The video doesn't show what became of this cop or this woman after the fact - perhaps he was punished or fired. Yeah it shows she was mouthy, and difficult, the cop had every right to be pissed. But does that mean he can do what he did - NO. He should have pulled her ass out and cuffed her.

I hate to be an ass and point this out - but YOU started this flame war: how you can justify nuking millions of people because of some pig cop from some random video thats designed to wind people up, instead of inform, is a leap of imagination I can't understand.

In Canada no cop has the right to pull people over unless for reasonable cause, and if you are pulled over for unreasonable cause you can tell him to fuck off and die. It is not illegal to tell a cop or anyone to fuck off. If it is then show me the law.

The reason why we're getting shafted so bad, is that people are imagining that cops have more rights and more powers than they actually have.

8 Month Pregnant Woman Assaulted by Police With Taser

Officers unable to extract an 8 month pregnant women from her vehicle used a 50,000 volt taser on her 7 months after the policy had been put in place for the police to able to use tasers in such situations. After being shocked she was taken to the ground and handcuffed. The November 2004 incident is only gaining attention now as the vicitim in engulged in a legal battle.

I see reports of about 1 death per month or two in the USA from taser(TM) attacks by police. The death rates appear to be increasing.

@Maleficus

I agree with you that probably a majority of American's are embarrased by what's happening to their country. I've seen a whole range of emotions from anger to feelings of helplessness. I correspond with several people over in the USA and many are not happy at all. Some people want to see Bush swing from a tree for treason, others just want the Dems back in power hoping that will end the nightmare (but it won't). By all accounts the anger towards Bush and the neocons is growing in momentum.

There's a lot more going on, including an FBI investigation into an Israeli spy ring. Remember, Israel stood to gain from a US invasion of Iraq.

"It's very good…….Well, it's not good, but it will generate immediate sympathy (for Israel)" - former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the day of the 9-11 attacks.

BTW, Bush had plenty of help winning the election throuwgh vote fraud. However, the Dems are just as guilty which is why there was so much silence on the issue. The Bush team simply did a better job of it than the Dems (or paid off/threatened/blackmailed Kerry). Bush practically owned most of those auditless vote machines for example.
