HLDM and HPB_bot, bots not using custom Player Skins -
09-06-2005
I downloaded a HLDM map called "mario_land", and it comes with 2 Mario and Luigi Player Models.
It didn't install them in the /models/player folder though. So I added them to that folder, and when I run a regular LAN Game and the game spawns 7 random bots, their using the default player models. Why?
The same goes to this 1 model I downloaded. Their not using it for regular deathmatch.
I haven't tried it for Team Deathmatch though.
Ohh, I forgot to add, those Mario and Luigi models ARE crashing the game to the desktop when being viewed in the Player Models thing in the game; where you set what model you want to be in the game. I don't know why though.
Also, this is kinda offtopic. But I would like to know where I can find some HL2DM skins converted to HLDM. I think it would be wild to have a HLDM Team Deathmatch thing with Combine and Rebels player models.

The latest HPB_bot is HPB_bot 4 and it's a metamod plugin.
When they aren't told which model to choose, the bots choose between the default Valve player models (since they are hardcoded in the bot). The bot might be modified easily to pick from any existing model though.

Ohh, I was thinking there was a file I need to set for the bots to use custom Player Skins.
I just wish that HLDM Player Models EXISTED like they used to in the past years. Now it's all HL2DM and CS:S. I tried looking in Google but to no avail. Was a miriacle just to find a few of them.
