Sure! Since you installed metamod, type:
meta list

It will show the list of the modules, and their states (run, pause, etc...)

remember realbot 1.0 is _NO_ module, it has nothing to do with metamod, thus if you start it (the cs server running realbot) it is working if does not crash. so _atleast_ to get it working once, DONT START METAMOD, only start realbot via the liblist.gam as only game dll.

otherwise go to the metmod/adminmod forums and ask there, i bet 50 € it's not the fault of the realbot .so file.

Regards MeMeD

p.s. rcon commands themselves usually wont give an feedback at all, the only rcon printing some info is rcon banid (which returns usage) or commands explicitly generating an answer (stat stats)

td3201 - I have been trying to get rbv10 working on my linux hlds_l dedicated server since the end of December. I have also tried the WIP metamod plugins as well.

They don't work for linux and CS 1.6. I haven't seen or heard from one user on this forum that has a working version of RealBot and linux for the stand-alone hlds_l dedicated server of CS 1.6.

In my case Realbot is running because every command gives an output, only "rbds addbot" doesnt creat an output

From what I've experienced so far, with the versions that have been released up to this point, it just doesn't work properly.

I do believe that The Main Man will be giving us a working version of the RealBot very soon.

what who , please don't spead this nonsense here !

Realbot 1.0 works works works works works

217.160.167.106:27015

since steam beta i run this bot with 1.6, it allways worked with linux
there have allways been people running it, but im too lazy to write lenghty howtos or make download packs, not until RB WIP@linux works.

you must be aware of a lot of linux stuff bevore it will work, and to get it work with metamod you have to do even more tricks, and yet the server will crash from time to time if using adminmod or amx, due to new bots having random stats.

and i know of at least 3 servers mentioned here in the board running realbot 1.0, so pls. learn to search before ranting :-)

- do you have waypoit files for the map you are playing
- you will need realbot 1.0 also installed on windows, to make and edit waypoint files
- did you wait before starting bots, see bot.cfg (missing in linux archive, use the one from wndows)

After some research and testing, I have some conclusions. Here is my setup:
Redhat 9
CS 1.6 Dedicated (steam)
Realbot v1.0
No other plugins (yet)

This works. Just follow the directions on the installation page. You also need to add a symlink like this:
cd hlds_l/cstrike/dlls
ln -s realbot_i486.so realbot_i386.so

I think this has something to do with the most recent Steam update.

Some behavior that's weird:
If I copy and paste the following into the console, it doesnt add all the users:
rbds csversion_1
rbds addbot_1_5_5_b1ug0d-TDL
rbds addbot_1_8_5_Mr_President
rbds addbot_1_4_5_foobar
rbds addbot_2_6_5_I_love_CS
rbds addbot_2_7_5_n30
rbds addbot 2_4_5_pane-TDL

I have to add the users slowly one at a time.

If you type rbds csversion_1 for the first time, it changes the play to 1.6. If you type the exact command again, it switches it to 1.5. I don't think this is the intended behavior. You should have to explicitly type rbds csversion_0 to switch it to 1.5.

That is my $.02. Now that I have gotten this far, I am going to attempt to get my other mods running.

ALSO,

I tried the WIP version. I am confused on this. Is this a metamod plugin? If so, I couldn't get it to work.

ahh now it works :-)

the issue with i486 i386 is new to me, someone reported this, but i just looked, i don't have this softlink, and yes its still working after the latest steam update :-)

the "not too fast adding" issue is documenented, and at least the bot.cfg from the windows pack has delays in it's sample setup.
the issue with cs_version is also new to me, since i only adjust this in the bot.cfg.

the WIP linux version is reportetly not working, there are no releases from stefan, after discovering the issues with metamod and the hlsdk updates, not jet made public. a hunt for all the patches ans special version found were started and resultet in a new src base for compiling metamod (patched) and bots (working for HPB_Bot 4.0).

so i'm kind of spamming this board while waiting for WIP@linux :-)

Cheers MeMeD

P.S.
CONGRATULATIONS TO STEFAN FOR PASSING HIS DRIVING EXAM !!!!!!!!
