I'd never accept a nick someone just suggests to me, unless it would be a nick by which I get called by many people. But as soon as this is the case, it does have something to do with my personality because several people really identify me with it.

If someone would dub you "1337 Pete", that would be everything but a nick that's in any way connected to you.
