Default Realbot_mm.dll Not Loading At Map Change - 05-01-2004

I keep having a nagging problem using the realbot_mm.dll. This problem has been present for me throughout all of the WIP versions and most recently with #2060. The plugin loads fine when I start the server, but on mapchange, it is somehow loaded but not running. I can't seem to addbots and I don't know how to avoid this problem.

I have tried running with metamod & realbot, and metamod & realbot & amx, with the same results. Is anyone still having this problem or has anyone figured out how to fix it? The bots are kicking ass for one map only, and then they disappear and can't be added.

I have had this problem for all WIP except for build 2049. I simply put realbot_mm.dll before amx_mm.dll in the plugins.ini and I could changelevel freely. However, in build 2053 -> 2060, no such luck. I really like the new stuff available in 2060, but I can't change maps without losing the bots either (using either www.metamod.org's 1.17 metamod.dll or Stefan's edited one at realbot.bots-united.com).

Is there anyway to get the .dll to load at "ANY" time like several other ones (amx_mm.dll for example), so we can simply do: meta refresh to get the bots back? Or is there something incompatible with our particular computers? :p

i don't understand why the bot plugin refuses to get loaded, i will try to set the flag on load anytime, but i am not sure if that will result in working bots after reloading. We can try though, so expect a 'reloadable' realbot plugin in the next build.

Great! I'll also try moving the realbot line in my plugins.ini file to the top and see if that makes a difference when I'm using AMX.

I'm using the new 2065 and it still loads but does not run on map changes.

I tried using the other switches, but my HL crashed when using them. So i did not keep them in the new BUILD. I still think its a metamod thingy rather then a realbot thingy, perhaps PMB knows something about this...

it seems mEAnmod has the same trouble with realbot (look at the forum post there). I GET NUTS OF THIS. TO MUCH STRESS. Argh.

Stefan, the new RealBot is fantastic. This is only a minor drawback. I've had luck at some times with mEAnmod, although sometimes it crashes on map change (HL does not crash/exit, but I have to restart the server on a new map).

I like that the bots plant/defuse the bomb a lot more than before. I ran into a little problem with mEAnmod last night and wasn't able to plant the bomb myself though ???

I noticed there are commands to set realbot for CS1.5 or CS1.6, I am wondering if you have to explicitly tell the bot what game version is being run? I figured the code was auto detecting the version, as was done with the metamod patch, but perhaps not.

The plugin not working problem does not happen all the time and is not fully consistent with a map change. I noticed it happen on server start up a couple of times, and my server has been running OK for a couple of hours with a 20 min map change timeout, so several map loads must of successfully completed without a problem.
