Hi ya'll

Me is back for a look-see in here

i see a lot of suggestions that i made long ago but never got done. for example :

from Austin:
"While you are at it PM, how about this one?
Keep paths from being created through func_illusionary.
This is a major hassle because you have to go back and manually delete the paths through these."

is that now implemented? that hull block worked?
if so:
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! !!!!

and my idea of that "Temporary waypoint"...was to be used to make ViP choose different routes by force ........i see in here this has been fixed.....but how? was a TP inplemented or did ya'll smart dudes find another way to get that done?

its good to see my greatest dissappointment in CS actually begin getting good.....by guys who have DRIVE to make it good......rather than someone who just talks about it.

HATS OFF to PM,Austin, and the new kid: T-Wrecks looks like you took my place when i left hihi

Hi SoUlFaThEr! Long time no see!

well well, the A* pathfinder has "just" been activated

Have you tried this bot yet ? The bot's tactics have been greatly affected! Play a few round with them on de_dust for example and you'll see they won't take always the same route, even with TAZ's waypoints! All is needed is to wait for them all grenades at hand in the hallway and moderate their pretentions in this area, then after a few rounds they will start to think again

Not when it comes to mapping, and there's no way I'll ever get even close to that point even if I had enough time... And if all maps had been waypointed by their authors the way you waypointed yours, I wouldn't have anything at all to do... But since this is not the case, I've had lots of opportunities to learn the waypointing stuff, yeah.

You should really try the bot - it rocks the house!

Oh, and one more thingy about that wp editor: I mentioned it in the other thread, although this is where it belongs: The last editor release doesn't seem to display the waypointer's name any more at round start...

Look in the "metamod plugins" forum, there is a thread called "POD-bot back into shape"

Zacker! I am still using your waypoints for cs_assault_upc! There are great! One of the best ever! You need to get back to it! Let us know about any new features you might want to have.

Hello Zacker!

I'm kind of a "new kid", as SoUlFaThEr said, so I don't remember you from any other place. But it would be nice to have a third good waypointer on board. SoUlFaThEr, you and me, we could make a whola lotta waypoints for Pierre-Marie's Bot, so that ppl can enjoy it the way it's meant to be. SF and me, we're currently working at that custom map WP pack, but there are hundreds of good maps left that finally deserve some good waypoints! And the kick-ass editor alone makes waypoint sets much cleaner and better than before... Some of my old WPs I'm currently fixing up for the pack do have all the features and play well... but they look untidy in places. With the new WP editor, a finished set is not only well playable, but also clean and sharp - no overlapping connections, no dozens of one-way connections down from a stack of crates etc. - try it, you'll love it! It gives you full control so that you can cover open areas with long connections and full efficiency (not one superfluous node), whereas in tight spots you can waypoint as precisely as with a scalpel, without having to remove tons of unwanted stuff afterwards.
