Okay, I tried that but still the same result.

I'll try uninstalling CS and re-installing the entire steam.

Okay, it doesn't work. Now it just crashes without any warning -- black screen, then back to my desktop.

And I'm trying to start a listen server in CS 1.6 in Steam, not 1.5.

I installed Metamod-p (I had Metamod installed before, but that just crashed CS whenever I tried to start a listen server, so after seeing another recommendation in these forums I tried Metamod-p and...
