Renaming a pwf?
Say I have a map which I have already created and waypointed but for whatever reason I recompile the map using a new name. Is there anyway for me to just use the old pwf file? I know that simply renaming it doesn't seem to work.
Is there any method to do this, or am I forced to redo the waypoints? Thanks for any tips. |
Re: Renaming a pwf?
The renaming is enough, maybe you do something wrong, check if you can see the files extentions from the folder options.

Re: Renaming a pwf?
I've come across this problem before. I was wondering if podbot mm could load a waypoint and then save it as the new map name. But I don't know how to get around this.

Re: Renaming a pwf?
I used to have a map called "de_Congo" and waypoints called "de_Congo",
but when I renamed both into "de_congo" ( without capital letter ) it didn't seem to work. |
Re: Renaming a pwf?
No I haven't changed any file extensions.

Re: Renaming a pwf?
You may need also open the pwf by any hexeditor (like UltraEdit) and find the string "de_Congo" andchnage it to "de_congo" then save the file. Note - if Your map file has really the name like de_Congo.bsp, that change may cause the pwf will not be loaded.
