But if they are even at skill 100 too easy for You - there are few ways to tweak them a bit (but only if at skill 100 - godlike - they are too easy for You). First of all - min and maxturnspeed doesn't affect bots at all if they are using default aim type (botaim2). I mean if You have the setting "pb_aim_type 4" in Your podbot.cfg . do I make those values higher or lower to make the bots harder? I think you should make like level0-40 for noobs, lvl 40-70 for intermediate players, and level 70-100 for pros. That way, you can have a whole range of player skills on your server, like on internet servers, where there's usually people who are worse than you, people who are around your skill, and people who are better. I AM NOT a very good cs player and so that's why I think they should be harder. btw, my min_delay is 0.0 and max_delay is 0.01 for level 100 and I play with bots from 80-100, not 60-100 Also, are there other ways to make them harder at level 100? what's the difference between botaim1 and botaim2 and constant angle velocity? I think if you make the waypoints better, the bots will be better too. Right now, I'm adding to some waypoints that I have. (I've completed de_dust2, de_train, de_storm, de_aztec, and de_herrenberg) But even on these waypoints, the bots do not behave according to how I want. They always rush rush rush into a place humans normally wait at(as in not rush in so fast). I don't see how camp waypoints will help because that's only one waypoint and once 1 bot takes it, the others can't. |

Well I only noticed the bot skill because I would play Pb MM then I would go to YaPB.
But making it a little harder wouldn't hurt. |

yes I agree, but I should play with the bots a little bit more and then see.
But I think you should make the skills a whole range of levels. That way, noobs, good players, pros, or godlike players can all play with the bots without the bots being easy. there should be bots that are lower in skill than noob player that way noobs can play with podbot. There should also be bots with skills higher than pros, which is godlike, to allow pros to have fun too. I'm not sure about skill 100 bots yet, let me play with them some more. |
