Re: SDK and Hammer Released

can we get hammer without having all the SDK?
how big is that download and where is the link to it?

Re: SDK and Hammer Released

you must download through steam, and have steam running while you're using it.
the STEAM forums, http://www.steampowered.com/forums/f...?s=&forumid=41, were blowing up, but were closed down. You can still view the old posts where you can find info on how to fix most of the issues with the new hammer.

no you don't have to be online to map, you only have to d/l it trough steam, and you must have hl2 preordered to get it.

btw. its alot of fun to play a round with with the physic's :D

You may not have to be on-line, but steam must be running while Hammer is open! Otherwise, you get an error message which closes down the app.

Re: SDK and Hammer Released

if you ask my opinion...
I think it's nice for you, but TBH I don't understand somehow... we WERE going to change the BU board layout and include HL2 modding & mapping forums... if you wanted to take a bigger part here we could have made you moderator in charge for the HL2 mapping part, I think everybody here would have agreed... Is that because you were getting impatient ? I confess time lacked to each of us right now to make big changes to the forums til now.. but since that has to be done it WILL be done. We don't want to lose our mappers...
Don't get me wrong, it's cool that you have your own forum, but it could have been part of BU so that's a bit dumb imo... don't feel offended, it's just that I can't find the right word :)

Re: SDK and Hammer Released

The main focus of this board is bots.
The main focus of my new boards are Source Mapping.
I see your point.
Different boards attract different people.
I would like to have a thread/topic here, that I could dedicate to making CSBot compatible maps.
I think it would be great if we could become affiliates!
?

I also Intend to offer more than just a message board...
wondering if there's some secret moderator discussion going on about this???
stefan and pmb were the only ones to post about the matter in the thread I posted in the agora...
And I've been on here a bit the last few days, and I've seen many of the moderators on-line...
What's up?
