Re: waypoints

Check the waypoint forums...I'm sure someone's either created waypoints already or will include them in a waypoint pack sooner or later.

Or you could just try google or make them yourself :)

Has anybody ever made waypoints for this map and posted them on BU at all? I don't think so...
Well, let's see. I happen to be a waypointer (and not the worst one, as others can confirm!), but I usually don't focus on fun maps. Are there (m)any interactive elements like lifts, buttons or even fancier stuff in this map? I'm asking because in one rats-map there was a sponge lying on the floor that served as a kind of jump cushion... stuff like this doesn't work too well with bots. Long ladders are not ideal, either, and most rats maps have long ladders. Besides, there's usually a large open space in the middle of the map, and since bots don't adapt their weapon priorities to the map layout, you often end up sniping away bots that use shotguns and couldn't kill a fly over that huge distance. That's why I'm not too crazy about playing rats maps. But if this one doesn't have the elements I mentioned above, I might just be crazy enough to waypoint this map... please give me some information about it. ;)

Re: waypoints

Heyyo,

Yeah, mine are recently new... but for E[POD]bot, so I dunno how well they work with PODbot v2.6mm. But since there's no compatiblity errors, cept camp waypoints (heh, thanks for clearin' that up with me guys. :P) they should run good.

Re: waypoints

Heyyo,

*Sighs* yes, the dreaded button doors... Most PODbot mods never tried to fix it so far, maybe just the PODbot v2.6mm R2.1... The prob most of the time is that the bots don't adhere to the waypoints, and just go straight for the button. This was a major prob with podbot v2.5 and down, especially at cs_estate for the basement light switch, they'd tend to try to hit it from the staircase....

I tried rearrangin' my waypoints, but to no avail, I can't help it.. sry dude. Hopefully this prob gets addressed in later bot releases for all the PODbot mods.

Re: waypoints

Well, I see bad chances for IvPBot and E[POD]Bot, as these bots are no longer being developed.

However, sPlOrYgOn is busy with the button code in PODBot 2.6mm, although it seems to be very difficult. And maybe Whistler can come up with something nice for his YaPBot...

Meanwhile, Austin's RFC tool might be the best way to get around the problem - just remove that button or the entire door.

Re: waypoints

No - I suppose few days and this problem should be solved at last. Look here (correct place to report problems with button code):

http://forums.bots-united.com/showpo...5&postcount=30

We go to offtopic in this thread.
BTW this thread should be also moved to Common Questions...:D
