Heyyo,

I have 2 computers (desktop, and laptop) both with windows xp pro, and a SMC7004VBR router. And my prob is, my 2 computers will no longer recognize the router, and get their ip addresses from it n' such anymore. I installed the telus highspeed setup cd, and since then? my lan's all messed. You know? usually it'll get its ip addresses from the router, eg. 192.168.***.*** but now it's making up these stupid redicoulous ones that are for the net 169.254.***.***

Any ideas? I'm gonna try the installation cd that comes with the router... I've tried resetting the router several times by unplugging it... still messed, I can't even log into the damn router. you know? the ip address for it is 192.168.2.1? and when I punch that in, it tries to dial my dial up account....
