Oh fuck it, I'll only be content if they fix the one giant son-of-a-bug once and for all, this worthless piece of shit Steam itself! I'm just reinstalling it completely because after a sudden crash at startup, it caused my PC to hang when the OS booted, and after several attempts to get it back running, all I got was more crashes - the last one a nice combination of crashes in steam.exe, user.exe and hl.exe at the same time.
That's the seventh reinstall in four fucking months (while my Steam-free 1.5 install runs and runs and runs and runs), and with every day I have this piece of shit on my HD, I wish I could beat all those motherfucking Valve idiots up so badly that even their own mothers (who should never have born them in the first place) won't recognize their idiot offspring. Did you read the news? They said they were going to make 1.5 "available" (read: mostly unavailable) via Steam - ha! All I can say is UP YOURS, suckers!
They can shove that pile of rubbish they programmed so deep up their ass that their friggin' eyeballs start popping out; I've had it with this shit! >

Ok, I'm no longer pissed off. In fact, the solution was dead simple. I uninstalled Steam, permanently deleted all Steam-related files, took a hammer, hacked my Steam install CD to pieces, burnt the pieces, and threw 'em away. That's what I should have done in the first place. I can still continue my waypointing stuff with 1.5, and who needs online games of CS 1.6 ? Not me.
