Well, all I can say is that I don't know what's wrong with California because I've never been there and cannot possibly judge any of this. Oh, wait, there IS something terribly wrong about California: It's too friggin' for away for a nice weekend trip from Europe...
Don't take it personally - I just thought the end was a nice surprise effect.
