Well, I had a discussion w/ the USA representative because she said that "the US have a good ecological policy". Harhar. I said: "Well, I would like to ask the US representative which ecological policy is that that allows your SUVs to pollute way more than they could, just because they would be a little more expensive? Which ecological policy is that that allows the indiscriminate chopping of your forests, what constitues a "un-economical growth" [a term that means that, in the long term, they'll run out of resources to sustain that growth] for your economy? Well... Nothing, I just promised you would export technology for the countries in need. :P
But my colleague representing the Netherlands in another comitee approved a resolution that allows military interventions by the UN in the countries that they deem necessary. :D
