A bit of self pimpage

Not many here have ever tried Fritz for RtCW, sadly. Now that Fritz is being ported to ET, I thought I'd give an taste of where things are already.

HERE is a pic of Fritz on Radar, the first map I'm supporting for testing purposes. They already do all of their basic actions from RtCW (give ammo/health, revive, fight enemies). The code isn't 100% ported yet, but whats already there is enough to give a good taste of whats going on.

HERE is a little demo of me and a team of bots screwing around in warmup (as humans do). No other bot than Fritz has ever understood the simple joy of shooting your teammate in the face during warmup. :D

You'll notice that the bots join fireteams, have ping and everything. For all intents and purposes, they are human - which is the intention with Fritz: simulating a human on a pub server.

NOTE: you'll need ET 2.60 to play the demo. If you don't have it (its 100% free), get it HERE.

I would have loved to try your Bot for a long time, Maleficus. However, I don't have RtCW, and what's more important - I just didn't have the time or the interest to play Ego Shooters any more.

It all started when I discovered SimCity 4... :| Then I found out that many buildings had horrible stats and were wrecking the game balance... That was when I started modding like a maniac; adjusting stats all manually for more than 750 MB worth of downloads. THis work has taken me 6 months so far, and I'm only slowly beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Besides, my comp is not the fastest one, but I'm gonna upgrade by the end of this year. I have just bought a DVD burner to make backups, then I will get a new CPU and move to Windows XP at the same time. Hopefully, I will find the time and the motivation to try your bot afterwards.

So don't think your work goes unrecognized or that nobody values your skills and your efforts. ;)

I'll definently check it out in a week or so for my next LAN, all I've had for ET before this is Bobot (or something).

Me too! I never wanted to buy RTcW that's why I couldn't test Fritz but I definitely will on ET!
