Inside-Out Monday 17th (overcrowding in limos!)
BBC1 (south): 7:30pm.
Travellers vs the law, or something. Part of it is about overcrowding in limosines, and I'm one of the mooks who they got to drink the drink in the limo8) . Too bad I don't have a TV here, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. (Overcrowding in Limos = wtf??!) I don't know how they're editing it, but atm we aren't blanked out. I'm the snappiest dresser anyway, so it doesn't really matter.9_9 |

So.. You and some people piled into a limo, had a drunken mobile party, and made the news? Just how many lawns did you drive through?

Not quite!:D
We were having a quick (all afternoon) drink in the Union when someone came up and asked what we were doing that night. (I was returning with a pint and ran up -thought he was nicking my seat, heh.) He claimed to be from the BBC, who were doing something on "overcrowding in limosines". Naturally I said, "Oh really?" but he just replyied that we bring along a few mates and show up at a bar near me and we'd get a drink out of it at the least. We then received a call from the BBC and they confirmed it. We thought it wouldn't do any harm to see what it was all about, especially when the term was just finishing off. We ended up with a ride in a limo, champagne, free bottled water and a pint, all courtesey of the BBC.;) It is BBC south however, I know in Holland for instance in most places we get BBC SE, which is the wrong one (Kentish accents or dialects or something). If you have Sky you can get all the regional BBC channels, they are somewhere near the radio stations I think. We then went for a curry. All in all a good night, our bit will probably be only a few minutes long, I'm not sure as it's over a year since I've seen the program. |
Goddamn fucking road-rage english commoners
I'm fed up with this bullshit. There I was, crossing the road when the car decides to start moving (at the lights). You can only move on amber when there is noone crossing.
SO I cross, he's swearing, leaning out the window, I give him two fingers back and sneer at him. He opens the door (the passenger on the left) and the car pulls to the side and slows. He's goddamn lucky he and his mate then shut it and drove off, cause I'd have sent the fucker to hospita in a fucking neck brace. And anyone else who went for me. England's a great place, but it's full of fucking idiots. Plymouth is a bloody pit. Don't visit this city. Oh, yes it fits 9in this topic as it relates to "Travellers and the law", the title of monday's 7:30 Inside-out show on BBC 1 south. |
Re: Inside-Out Monday 17th (overcrowding in limos!)
Every city has lots of those kinds of people, Plymouth is probably no worse for this than any other city in the world.
You did the right thing anyway, its what I would have done. A one-finger salute is the best way to give people constructive criticism on their driving. |

Yes but Plymouth is a real dive. Bah! That, and London. And Bristol. And Glasgow, I suppose. I've heard both good and bad things about Birmingham, but I didn't have any trouble there. Manchester... not been.
But Plymouth? there's always some prat causing trouble. Never has these sorts of problems in Den Haag, only a couple of times. Here there's always some git skulking around in the shadows. Once someone tried it on when I was walking back from sword practice. Was with two mates that he didn't know were there because we were quiet. (Hah! jumped down before he realised there were 3 of us. Had a good laugh watching him leg it.) |
