Did you come from Nukebox? (do u still go there?)
I'd like to see if anyone was (or still is?) a member of the 'old days @ Nukebox forum'. I was at the nukebox, i founded there 'my community' like most authors did.
Thats where i got my nick from, i actually just did my real name, appended the first + last name, and i just went on posting. Then suddendly it seemed that creating a bot could make u famous and give u sex, drugs & rock'n roll.. (well forget about the last 2)... anyway, i was a Nukeboxer... Who else? |

I might have found this site through nukebox, I can't remember. I never posted on Nuke, but I read it.

Re: Did you come from Nukebox? (do u still go there?)
I was a member of NB once. Last I checked I'm still listed as a podbot forum moderator but I've not been in there for many months now. I guess I should be scratched off the list since I have enough to do already, and I doubt I could even log in anymore.

Re: Did you come from Nukebox? (do u still go there?)
I used to be there too. That's where I posted the first (and rushed out) betas of RACC. People had found my site before I even started advertising for anything and that eventually pissed me off, lol, I had to send away a beta so that they would keep me in peace for a while. I guess it didn't work :D
Nuclearbox was a great place to be then, people were very friendly and very open minded. I don't know why but everything changed suddently after the WTC crashes, so I left. I don't miss it. What I could miss is what it was, and that is long gone. |
Re: Did you come from Nukebox? (do u still go there?)
I didn't come from Nukebox. Although my "bot career" started with PODBot, I never went to the forums.
One day, a friend of mine sent me a link to the old POXBot site and said he had found a very interesting PODBot clone... Well, I tried to register there, but the site went down quickly... On one of the last days when it was open, I somehow found a link to Bots-United - and here the fun started...:D The only other CS-related forums I knew before were related to custom weapon & player modelling, and those forums are full of arrogant, uneducated, snot-nosed little "prats" (as Leagle would say) whose ego is so bloated that they wouldn't fit through a door together with it. >:( Here I found all I could ask for... a nice community, some great stuff - and I can even contribute something! ;) |
Re: Did you come from Nukebox? (do u still go there?)
Heyyo,
I'm an nboxer too, and I still do, but yes, it's much less friendly place to be... lol, Viper tried to get me banned cause I talk "weird." I'm sorry my French-Canadian rambling doesn't fit your view that everyone should be monotone with no differences there Viper. :P I showed one of me buds who just gets a kick outta how I ramble on like that, n' he gotta good kick outta that thread too (it's called "holy shmoley - bendable babe" in the offtopic section if you're wondering...) I found BU from that stickey in the PODbot section of the forums aboot "Posts about [E]PODBot" made by DAV. Ever since then I've brough my main ramblin' here. ;) You can still catch me n' sPlOrYgOn over there fighting for answering PODbot questions first.. I think he's up by 3, but I still have forum dominance sPlOrYgOn. :D |
Re: Did you come from Nukebox? (do u still go there?)
I've been registered on NB , too, but there I posted only few posts. I 've read posts there rather than was active. But I remember MarD and SF from that forum. I don't know if I can still login there or not (forgot password). :)
