wow just found this out a few minutes ago.

VAC (valve anti-cheat) program that runs in many server will ban you if you use winamp.. many people in the dod community are getting random vac bans and they all were runny winamp while they were playing..

just a little reminder..

Heyyo,

Lol, I think the main prob isin't that, but some people just start running clips from tv shows n' stuff off winamp while holding downt he voice chat button... it's really annoying when all you wanna do is frag, n' all you can hear is the same old-tired south park clips....... it makes you wanna tk.... at spawn. ;)

I wonder why winamp would have any effect on VAC?? I think maybe you are confusing it with HLamp?? Because I've run HL with winamp with no problems before... but I haven't recently :p

Nope I run winamp all the time with steam ....no problems here ;)
