vBulletin?
I just looked around for a good forum for my Half-Life1/2 Mod and i remembered Bots-United :) so i went to here and saw you are runnin vBulletin v. 3.0.3.
So i went to vbulletin.com and look to a place to download it, but it was no where to be found. To my question :) Where did you get it from? Did one you guys buy it or already own it? Sorry for my bad english :| |
Re: vBulletin?
yep, Nova owns one or two vBulletin licenses. It's not free but many would argue that it's worth the price.

Re: vBulletin?
If you don't want to pay for VBulletin, you can always get phpBB instead.

Re: vBulletin?
YaBB (not YaPB!) is also free and quite nice :)
The latest version is also as fancy/powerful as other forums. It's written in Perl and it uses text files for everything so you needn't care about the database. |
Re: vBulletin?
Either one will work.

Re: vBulletin?
someone had told me that invision board was getting good but now they too have gone down the vBulletin path, charging for indiviual licenses...at least that is what I had heard. phpBB tends to be pretty strong because of the community and amount of mods available for it.

Re: vBulletin?
