vBulletin?

I just looked around for a good forum for my Half-Life1/2 Mod and i remembered Bots-United :) so i went to here and saw you are runnin vBulletin v. 3.0.3.

So i went to vbulletin.com and look to a place to download it, but it was no where to be found.

To my question :)

Where did you get it from? Did one you guys buy it or already own it?

Sorry for my bad english :|

Re: vBulletin?

yep, Nova owns one or two vBulletin licenses. It's not free but many would argue that it's worth the price.

If you don't want to pay for VBulletin, you can always get phpBB instead.

Re: vBulletin?

YaBB (not YaPB!) is also free and quite nice :)
The latest version is also as fancy/powerful as other forums.
It's written in Perl and it uses text files for everything so you needn't care about the database.

Either one will work.

Re: vBulletin?

someone had told me that invision board was getting good but now they too have gone down the vBulletin path, charging for indiviual licenses...at least that is what I had heard. phpBB tends to be pretty strong because of the community and amount of mods available for it.
