i know CS 1.5 workes in winex, but seeing Steam update itself in X is kind of funny (oh via vnc in a vmware win2k on linux host *g*)

I know VERY little about linux, almost nothing... Does this mean it works? You use some sort of windows shell? Very interesting!

as usuals with the penguin, the bets are open on when the first kernel crash will happen :P

lol, i used a virtual pc on linux to boot up a real win2k and then used vncviewer to connect to another linux X server and launched winex (a windows api/emulator) to start steam...
and it failed, to start the gfx mode because vnc only started X 3.3 :)
i'll now try with a recent Mandrake 10.0 and nvidia gl drivers on my desktop pc.
i don't expect this to cause kernel crashes, i rather expectX to kill my patience since i hate X....
