Re: Help Me

Well that depends.
If the mods show up in the steam games list under "MY GAMES"

You should be able to start a listenserver.
But be sure to have NO network connection on the pc.

If there's no network connection steam goes into the OFF line mode.

Once steam detects a network connection it'll try to communicate with the master servers. In that case you can not start a server.

Re: Help Me

you mean that i just have to disable my adsl connection and the mods will appear under my games list.. right?

Re: Help Me

Um no. the mods have to be present already.
If they are not they need to be validated by steam.
This is for listenserver.

A dedicated server can be run whitout validation.

Re: Help Me

but if the mods were under "my games" that would mean i have a valid cdkey. And whats a listenserver?

Re: Help Me

Listenserver is the type of server one starts to play on it your self to.

Dedicated is the type of server you can only log on to. (not playing on the same machine)

To get the mods under the "MY GAMES" section you need a cdkey atleast one time.
Yup no other way. :(
