i need a faster uplink to the "net"
 

i know some will hate me for that (PMB->dialup user) but I NEED A FASTER INTERNET CONNECTION, hence that is impossible it's a fun thread to have something to complain about :).

just look how nice it is to work on a server in Frankfurt/Germany whilst downloading from a SF mirror in Ireland (over the Northsea and some 15 hops..):

needles to say that belnet.be is way faster, sometimes more than 3 MBytes/sec. From "my" server to "my other" server i get 4 Mbyte at minimum, sometimes it goes up to 8 MBytes...

so what is a "borand band" home connection at 768/128 (128 upload sucks big times!!!) ??

not to mention that my DSL is interleaved, speakinf of a minimum ping of 65msec, server2server its 15-25 ......

I don't hate memed, I burn my redhat CD's directly from the FTP mirror (6MB/s) :D.

In the next few month "Kabel BW" is enhancing our towns cable network and than I can get a 4096/1024 connection :D:D:D:D:D
