just on a side note.. i know its WIP... but i noticed the bots dont use the new weapons/equipment again....

but who cares... :) it works and im glad theyre using awp, smg and rifles as opposed to pistols again....

WIP = Work In Progress meaning that KaCat still intends to update the file and it may not be 100% perfect ......

If u download 1.1.1 from ivpbot.tk and install that ... u then need to download the file posted above here... and Replace the v1.1.1 ivpbot.cfg file with the new 1 posted above.. and this removes the buy weapons prob.... the bots waypoints will allready be installed from the 1.1.1 install. :):) hope im making sense

having said what i said earlier... i noticed a terrorist bot using a defender...... but thats the only occasion ive seen the bot with a new weapon :)

We want to run them on our server. But now its so easy to kill them, because they only use pistols.

AFAIK it a little bit D.I.Y. style, i would like to make a realease oack, but i did not manage to get my "mess" to work.. anybody can help me out with a linux full .zar.gz i would be happy and refurbish it for distribution on B.U..

Anyone knows how to make the bots buy asault rifles more often? It seems they keep on buying lousy SMGs and the machinegun. Appreciate it if you could help...

Rexell, I would hazard a guess that you'll have to edit the botweapons.cfg file. MAKE A BACKUP first.

I downloaded the bots but they didnt work and now they have made connecting to servers really slow on steam. 30 seconds on adsl 512k, it used to take 5 - 6, and once on server i get a really bad connection .I think its something to do with the cs files changed when i donwloaded the bots, any ideas ?

I doubt it's the bots. It's more likely to be the steam content servers being busy since the update. As for your connection, next time you get in an online game, pull down the console and check your "rate". I found mine was dropped to 1500 from the usual 9000 which really crapped out my connection. o_O

i've found the latest build seems to cause HLDS to misreport Steam IDs in the logs... found that when using HLStats and logaddress, it often reported real players as bots :p

Hi, I've down loaded http://ivpbot.bots-united.com/files/ivpbot_25022004.zip And the Bots still only use knives at the start.

ivbots now works, but admin mod and meta mod do not load.
Bots seem a little dum at the start but perhaps that's what the triaining is all about.

Anyone now how to get metamod and adminmod working with ivbots?

hey guys... i was just wondering if theres a way i can put a plugin into ivpbot? kuz i wanna put this plugin that makes it headshots only... like u can't kill the bots unless its headshots.... it's wat i use to practice... but since 1.6 came out i don't know how to put it on.... plz contact me at sm0keandfly420@hotmail.com if u know how to do this or im me on aim at insaynelunatic thanks...

It's possible if you want bots always do headshots by editing botskill.cfg, but what you have said is impossible :)

Just in case someone reads this part about the bots being dum!
They are not dum they are good bots.
The problem was with the first map used to test the bots.
I use aztec because it is popular map, but that map as luck would have it that is faulty.
All other that I have tried work ok and the bots are "GOOD".

IMO, you guys should just give up IvPBot since its author doesnt seem to want to support it anymore.
Better try out sPlOrYgOn's POD-Bot 2.6mm which has much more features and is just as deadly.

hi, i downloaded the link for the IVP bots at the top. I have no idea on how to install them onto steam.......also it only has 1 file in it .......wots with that??:'( o_O

if the single file is ivpbot.dll

You need to read more on the forum and visit http://ivpbot.bots-united.com/

The key thing in all this is that ivPBot is a metamod plug in. This means you must have metamod working.
At server console type meta list
metamod stuff is not loaded do a google search on metamod and study that and get it working.
Then start on ivPbot. At each stage check that metamod still works if not back track.

This was my working command line for HLDS E:\Games\SteamServer_v1120\hlds.exe -dll addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll

create metamod\config.ini
add this line(must be metamod117):
gamedll ivpbot/ivpbot.dll

All the above is if you must try ivpBot.
As Pierre says if you realy want to get into bots get 'sPlOrYgOn's POD-Bot 2.6mm ' as they are supported and under continuing development. I can recomend POD-Bot 2.6mm.
