Re: Pirates!
Heyyo,

Re: Pirates!
what have the riots there to do with muslims ?!
|
Re: Pirates!
well, riots themselves have nothing to do with muslims ofcourse. Though as i read his post, i believe those who riot, are muslim.
However, i wonder how they figured that out. THere are no signs on their heads saying "i am a muslim". |
Re: Pirates!
Har! Bahamian cruise ship at starboard! Fire on the uprow! Aye, captain! :D
Too much Master and Commander. I saw that somewhere in the news here in Brazil... |
Re: Pirates!
but it is know that modern pirates still exists on the oceans ... especially in south east asia I think
|
Re: Pirates!
The rioters as the news said that a couple of kids who happend to be muslim got shot i forgot why but it was thier fault. so the muslims are saying its discrimination and all this other stuff.
dude the cruise ship tryed ramming the little pirate boats it was awsome. |
Re: Pirates!
Pirates do indeed exist. there would be a lot more of them in asia still if mad bollockless Englishmen hadn't organised irregular fleets to hunt down and destroy them a centuary and a half ago.

Re: Pirates!
About the so-called muslim riots in france : yeah, it's been the 10th night of violence. But SHIT! this has nothing to do with muslims. Guess what, I usually read about that stuff both in the foreign news and in the local news. Almost no paper in france but the right-wing extremists (fascists like Le Pen) refers to them as muslims. But when I fire up Google News USA, WHOA!!! they're all labelled as "muslims", "terrorists", "young fundamentalists"... oh boy, I knew the atlantist media had some sort of hidden agenda towards the white house policies, but I wasn't expecting it would be twisting the facts THAT much to fit their purpose ! 8o Beware, beware of your mass media, americans ! These riots have nothing to do with muslims, Al Quaeda or religion, I tell you. The facts are, that France has had an open immigration policy for decades, not only to muslims but for people from all around the globe, which resulted in ghettoes of minoritary communities filling up the cheap suburbs living in their own world, not mixing with the french, with all the consequences you can get : unability to graduate, unability to find a job, unability to get a loan, unability to pay the taxes, exclusion, discrimination - but hey, from an employer's point of view, would you choose a guy who half speaks french or a "native", given similar abilities and diplomas ? I tell you, this has NOTHING to do with the muslims, it's the fault of a lack of care for our migrants, from ALL countries and religions, we let them sectarize and form closed communities where we should have given them from the start the opportunity to learn the tongue and the customs of France and integrate at school and on the employment market. This has NOTHING to do with muslims, al Queda or terrorists yet the atlantist media makes a big deal of it ?? Ah, I guess that's what the americans WANT to hear. Much more comfortable... I puke on the people who try to instrumentalize people's fears for such obnoxious agendas. LEARN TO THINK BY YOURSELF, ELSE OTHERS WILL DO IT FOR YOU.

Re: Pirates!
PMB I jumped in here just to ask you what was really going on because I know the media where I live always spins the truth to paint whatever picture will best serve the establishments agenda.
In any case, you already answered my question. Thanks for your opinions PMB, I'll pass em on. |
Re: Pirates!
looks like the same trouble we got over here. Immigrants who do not 'intergrate' properly come back later complaining. Or, their children cause trouble. But i feel more sorry for the kids then the parents...

Re: Pirates!
It's a lost generation. We ignored them for decades, and here's the result. The parents are helpless. These youth have no law and no master. You can beat them up, talk to them, enjail them, pay them, respect them, insult them, get them a well-paid job, take them out of their suburbs, their anger and their hate will persist. I personally met some of these young, and there's nothing to do, really. Many of them would sell their own mother. Not much of them actually committed a crime, but almost all of them steal cars regularly to do rushs on the highways, plunder the supermarkets, abuse girls, set thrash cans ablaze here or there, as they go, like that, for free. You cannot talk to them, they don't understand the logic, common sense means nothing to them, for YOU are their enemy, no matter what you do or what you say. This generation is completely fucked up, I'm terrified by the thought of what sort of children will get out of it. Even the girls are a nightmare. Dressing like whores, fighting with fists and blades, and actually WANTING to be abused. There's nothing to do for them, it's much too late.

Re: Pirates!
Heyyo,
Holy smokes! kindof sounds like some of the natives here in Canada.. it's crazy, east indians n' such have intergrated into our society seamlessly. You see them in all jobs n' places. Infact, the computer tech regional supervisor for western Canada (BC and Alberta) is even east indian. But the natvies? the one's that have been here all along? they've been living off welfare, so they don't get jobs, they just get lazy (or most), and the kids now just wander the streets, trying to be like "gangstas" all with their guns n' their part of towns here looks like slums, and causing minor crimes like PMB says the immigrants do over there... it's pretty ghey. |
Re: Pirates!
Video of French police at work, who appear to be shooting rubber bullets at people for no reason. No wonder their rioting.
http://www.afrik.com/article8965.html PMB you'll be better able to translate this than I can. |
Re: Pirates!
hmm well PMB keep safe i remember the LA riots over here.. quite similar but started for different reasons.
|
Re: Pirates!
read in the news papers that those people shot the police with 'shotgun shells'. So, i wonder, how the heck do those people "who supposedly have no money, etc, etc" get SHOTGUNS and SHELLS to FIRE at the police!? Woah.
By the way; also heard that fire got started in Brussel as well! |

As for the riots in Belgium+Germany (none here yet? :)), I think that are just bored people, or something :| |
Re: Pirates!
governments need to take extreem acions to stop them.
martial law. and screw the rubber bullits. |
Re: Pirates!
Drugs and stolen car business, stefan... I'm surprised you find that shocking.
|
Re: Pirates!
i'm more 'shocked' that it seems to be 'spreading'. ;) Besides that, who thinks that a dutch man should not be shocked by criminal activities!? :D

Re: Pirates!
Riots are continuing, and the country has not been inflicted that material destruction since WW2.
The president announced today that France is declared in "state of emergency" for two weeks, that delay being extendable. What this measure allows: The "préfets" (heads of regional police forces) can forbid the circulation of people and vehicles in any place for any delay at their discretion, and to ban people(s) from a place or a region. Nightly perquisitions are allowed. The ministry of the Interior (that right-wing cowboy Sarkozy) can forbid people to leave their home, order the closing of show rooms, theaters, bars and "meeting places" (vague), and command the population to bring all their weapons to the police. It is also possible to take "any measure to ensure the control of mainstream press and publications of all nature". Violations of state of emergency restrictions are punished by eight days to two months of inprisonment and a fine. Comments are superfluous, I suppose... *edit* I've just read that two youngs who were calling for revolt on their blogs have been put under arrest. *edit, hours later. Just thinking about it.* When the government violates the rights of the people, insurrection is for the people the most sacred of the rights and the most essential of the duties. -- Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, 1789. |
Re: Pirates!
wow. Well that means keep your mouth shut for 2 weeks. Though they are emmergancy meassures, it surely breaks human rights in general...
|
Re: Pirates!
Dude, just a quick note, next week I'll post a full text on that. Watch out for that "state of emergency" thing, we had a cue here that started that way (search for Getúlio Vargas and/or Estado Novo ("new state") on wikipedia or google). Not the military one that lasted for decades, this one lasted for 15 years.

When it comes down to it, the ruling establishment will try and do whatever it takes to remain in power. If a "state of emergency" can be imposed by decree, then it was always in effect, but ignored. |
