So, basic training starts Oct. 3rd, so that means I've got about 2.5-3 weeks left.

So that means a couple more weeks of wonderful 16 hr work days, then its time to go get completely smashed with a bunch of friends, then a couple of days to relax, then a plane trip to Quebec.

I'm both quite excited and nervous about things, but as long as the Americans don't "Friendly fire" me, I'll be allright.

You and some friends sneak into a freshman's room at night with flashligths, wake him up, put a flashlight in his face and say:

Yeah I've heard a lot of stories about the crap the army pulls on you, so I'm mostly ready for the worst 8 weeks of my life.

Remind me to fill my garden with landmines on my way out.

I'm leaving my "real" life for 3-4 years, not the internet. If I can I'll stop by (because pmb will be missing me so much), but somehow I doubt that I'll have much access so the interwebs.

So, I'm off tommorow morn at 7am to catch a plane. I most likely won't have much in the way of internet access till christmas, I've heard theres a good chance I'll get 2 weeks off then.

So, even if I can't get on then, sometime early next year I'm still going to try to plan out getting to Germany for Oktoberfest with some other guys from here in Canada. I'll probably post in the O/T here or failing that email pmb or someone if I can scrounge up the time/money/people. I'd love to visit Europe next year, and it'd be great to meet up with BU crew for a bit while I'm there.

This'll probably be my last post for a while, so.. thanks for creating one of the very few non-retarded internet communities :P, I'll be back after I'm done learning how to goose-step and blow stuff up. :D
