Doom movie draws closer

http://doom3.filefront.com/screenshots/News/19827/1

Piccies of clay models used for the Doom movie. I'm glad to see that the monsters are intact, even the spider mastermind.

This movie might turn out to not suck, I'm optimistic.

Edito: Upon further inspection, is that supposed to be a pink demon on the left? Looks more like the child of a pink demon and the wolfman. And the baron on the left looks too minotaur-like. Needs the furry goat-legs with backwards kneecaps.

..Okay I see I'm going to be a huge nerd when this comes out and pick at every little detail.

Never mind, no longer optimistic again.

I'd sure enjoy a Duke Nukem 3D movie instead. With beer 'n' popcorn :D

Re: Doom movie draws closer

Lol yeah, flashlights on guns! That has to be the most discussed non-existing feature of D3:D

Hmm yeah, a DN3D movie would be interesting, but I feel that it would have fitted better 10-15 years ago...

Don't be silly! It'll be seen through a halo of blood mist due to judicious use of chainsaws in inappropriate situations by one of the main characters.=)

"Shake it baby"
"Wanna dance?"

But remember, Duke Nuken Forever is still being made. We may not see it within our lifetimes, but its still being made.

Two windows friendly DN3-D source ports.

I'd definently be up for some Dukematches, and maybe some coop.

you mean you guys want a Duke3D server on the BU machine ? :D

HangFire 01-07-2005 03:06

Re: Doom movie draws closer

Not a 24/7 server, it'd be empty 99.9% of the time, but I'd like one up if we can organize a time eventually to get a few people in on it for a game.

I think that's difficult, everybody lives in different time zones... If it is midnight in Germany, it would be only 19:00 here...

Uh, those clay models were for the 1990's movie. there have been several attempts at a doom movie. unfortunantly they were never completed.

Those models above were on ebay at a starting bid of 90.00 american. If i remember correctly.

Re: Doom movie draws closer

Thought they were for the new one, guess anyone has yet to see what the demons look like in the new movie.

Edito:

And Seu, thats why we'd try to negotiate it and get a time where as many can some as possible.
