1. I don't have a problem with the AI in Doom3. The rooms are small and there are not many things to cover behind, so the lacking don't really matter.

2. A brand new gametype would be cool. I am not too sure of it should be one of thoose he suggest though.

3. More ingame gfx would be nice.

4. More nipples would be nice.

5. I have yet to meet a woman.

6. Yup, save points suck. FarCry did not give you the option to the save the game and even with a such great game it was still disturbing. It was added in 1.2 though.

7. I have absolutely no problem with some loading. Long loading times should however not occour for menus or such. Watching corporate logos sucks.

10. I don't get while he like the ridiculus magic force shield in HL2. Or maybe he was being ironic?

14. Crates are indeed a clear sign of lacking level design talent.

I hate loading. Swat 4 was unplayable for me due to the ludicrous load times. I tried to play multiplayer with friends but it didn't work.

Load the map, play for 5 minutes, load the menu, then load the map.

At first we could tolerate the painfully slow menu loading, but then human patience only goes so far.

If someone has to wait >10-15 seconds to load a map, then its too long. If someone has to wait > 3 seconds to load the damned menu, then its way too long.

Yes most of his points are valid especialy about gaming progress.
Little change over the years.

But somehow the games will always be sold and the industry won't crash with a major bang.
Because the audience is renewing hurds of new teenagers will buy new stuff just because they just immerse into gaming land.
Older gamers still buy new games even if it is only slightly better as it's predecessor.
HL2 wasen't that more inovative over HL1 (game play wise) and still the sells went sky high.
And to compare vid games to real life and movies don't go that well because there is no interaction. well in real life there is but ya can't/won't go shoot people. And ya don't go play a role game with just anybody on the street.
SO it's a funny article but it won't happen.

cheap lame rip offs... horrible clones etc etc etc ... i would love to see a really detailed reallistic 3D movie(es) environmentz... i dunno i guess if im gonna spend money on something i want to get some detail and value ... or something who knows...

Pretty graphics don't make a game good, it can only enhance already good ideas. Thats why we get piles of games whose whole design is around some fancy engine with nice physics, and it seems like they only tacked on gameplay at the end of development.

Its like you don't even need a plot anymore for a game *cough* HL2 *cough*

max payne2.. great story.. i was touch.. even the third time around..
Freelancer.. if only it had those little things..
SSX series.. style is what matters.. its cools nice feeling during play..
bf42/desert combat.. hours spent.. i would say alot.. beeng playing since it came out.. + clan gaming.. swedens best clan desertcombat.. no joke.,, sweden is ranked second after germany in europe..

Bf2.. what can i say looks great.. nice feature.. alot of the old same. and hopefully all those nasty bugs they didnt manage to get rid off before should be long gone now..
alan wake.. this is the next max payne .. or not.. more like a gta thriller.. however.. i like them for there games.. max payne and death rally.. it cant go bad..

so what does these games have that i like..
alot of singleplayer games.. they got the story or just a nice sense of feeling into it.. graphics.. well.. its just eyecandy.. and bf series.. i like teamwork.. singeplayer games have usually a sucky AI that dont really simulate the real life.. you can be fooled a short period of time.. but then you want more.. and thats when you start to hate it.. bf2.. for the multyplayer and teamwork.. note.. clan player.. playing in public isnt suicide.. its just not that fun.. you get the scores.. yes.. first or second place isnt uncommon at all.. but i miss my teamates when you can call in for air suppport.. or even get called in if anyone needs you..it can happend on public servers.. not often enough.. and those who do use it.. usually over use the commands..

like.. jump with a heli on the furtherst base.. then call for backup.. 20 times just to make sure everybody heard it..

i really hope bf2 have the old stuff.. and less of the bad stuff.. this may be a way in to CPL aswell..
