Re: holy shit!!!

my invention.. well i took it up as mine in one class when we hade 30 minutes to come up with a solution for something.. i had one for cell phones.. to get rid of buttons.. its too good so i wont tell it.. the sexonde one was the chip that lets you buy stuff in special stores..

all you do is enter.. take what you want.. walk out.. through a door that can only be open one door at once.. and only one with this chip my be in there at one moment.. all the things brought.. will be counted and put this to whos ever in that rooms account..

the real thing wasnt as easy..

Yeah there's bars/clubs here in the netherlands where ya can get em on the spot to use as paying device for your drinks or snacks or to get entrance. o_O

you haven't seen those? i heard about them like 2 years ago

Pierre-Marie Baty 16-03-2005 00:52

Re: holy shit!!!

...and I bet by now the size of these chips has gone 10 times smaller !

How come nobody seem to realize the dangerousity of that thing ?

Imagine, we could be spotted wherever we are! I don't know about you but from now on I will watch closely what they inject people during vaccination campaigns !

There's no way in hell I'd volunteer to have that junk stuck in me. All you have to do is put the silly thing in your pocket, or just swallow it and you'll at least shit it out and flush it down the toilet where it belongs.

HangFire 16-03-2005 08:03

Re: holy shit!!!

Even if they don't have the capability to track, I'd never trust those things. It'd be pathetically easy for someone to just walk by with a scanner on them and suddenly have a mountain of information about you. Its like having your wallet stolen.

Re: holy shit!!!

I don't like that stuff either. Im supriced at how well they managed to get ppl to use it. But then again they only highlighted the pro's and not the con's
Pro's they stated:
Don't loose yr money.
It's hard to steal.
You don't forget it.
And you have access to those clubs special area's

Although it hard to believe the last reason is what most ppl pulled over.
They got the feeling they where special because of the inplanted chip.
(but then again thoses where all "dumb" party ppl, who are not thinking for them selfs. Tey just follow the hype. Cos the lead party dude thought it was cool and handy)

I won't ever get such a thing inside me.
Same reason why i don't have cell phone.
Heh i don't even have ID on me while that is the law now adays here in the Netherlands.

stefanhendriks 16-03-2005 14:54

Re: holy shit!!!

@ Chips, no way, they are to eat, not to implement :P

@ ID in the Netherlands, i find it nothing more but logical that once you are asked by an officer/agent to identify yourself (mostly you dont chit-chat with an agent...) you should have a legal ID with you.

No more false ID's which costs US a lot of money

Leagle 16-03-2005 16:19

Re: holy shit!!!

Hah! AT least the dutch id's are decent. The amount of stick I get in some places -they want some local driving liscence or some other shit. Easily forged. Just paper and a strip! what a load of bullshit. I had a right go at someone in new zealand, bloody check out girl.

Most of the news is false propaganda, so we have no idea how many people actually have had the implants, probably very few. They just want you to think its acceptable in an effort to get more sleepy people to agree to it. Eventually it will be illegal not to have one.

I wonder how many people will be hospitalized or die from infections because of this nonsense.

Ok so force 99% of the people to have a ID on then 24/7 to catch 1% (even less than that.)
It's not that bad now adays. but wait till the political climat changes a little.
Or police starts ID check in a bussy social area just because one guy was doing drugs.

And now the authoreties complain about ID theft... go figure.
People losse stuff al the time so why would they not forget there ID's.

You bet? In Australia these chips have become mandatory for militaries and bank personnel :)

Devil help us all.

Well, overall, I think that's pretty invasive... Lucky us in Brazil, the freakin government has better things to put money on... Like some senator's swiss bank account. :P

... and that's why Brazil won't progress. (Although it is written on our flag)

This kind of reminds me of that movie "Gattica", anyone remember that movie? Well if you do, you'll know what i'm getting at.

Personally i think it's a VERY bad idea, i mean the possible health risks are bad enough but i can drum on all day about how wrong this is.

didn't they say there was password protection?
and the chip can be removed too

I read that in Australia the RFID chips went into the bank employees uniforms rather than in their bodies. I don't know what they are doing to military people but they are tracking military cargo and eqiuipment using the chips.

Possible health risks? Sure, possible. But consider it is proven technology -we've been tagging our pets for a while now.

Re: holy shit!!!

I'd get one...

As long as i had control about the information and the accesabillity.

The biggest problem with the chip is imo unautherized scanning (or autherized for that sake) because it removes privacy, but if i had the abillity to toggle it on/off when i wanted to, then i can't see any reason why privacy should be any problem at all.

I mean, i carry cards and stuff everywhere anyway...

but i know the specific chip they talked about wasn't powered, so the toggle on/off stuff probably isn't possible in that one... dunno.

Of course its for him. Pmb would wire up a remote control for them, and snipe females with it from across the room.

nah. I prefer close contact :)

rofl, this is really getting out of hand :P (ahum)

i'd never get one, even when 'they' say that you have 100% control over the information that is stored in it. I am not trusting everybody that easily... And also, i dont like the fact that people know where i am all the time. People always want to know everything, sheesh :P

Your cell phone can be used as GPS.
Not exactly gps but via the cell's it is possible to pin point a cell phones location. 9_9

although the cell grid isnt that dense ... and that data is anyway collected by telephone companies. the other fine thing about mobile phones is that they emit radiation with wavelngth < 1m, so your position can be determined really accurate.

GPS receivers are still a bit too big to implant them, but with other GPS like systems, maybe it's gonna be possible :/

how about the phone in your hand..

you hold your hand to you head and talk..

rofl, i dont feel like walking around like an idiot with my hand against my ear... er, and where will the sound by the person at the other side come from? Do i need speakers integrated in my hand? :D

Well, Idunno, here in Brazil a respected IT magazine published an article about some test done w/ that... Near their test center, there is a motel... One guy's phone showed he was inside the motel, while he (and, consequently, his cell phone) was inside the test center's, in another room :P

Imagine if that guy's wife saw his location by his cell... He would have a lot of explaining to do... ;)

Re: holy shit!!!

AS a note.. whats preventing someone from making a 'fake tag', that would be more lethal that someone stealing a credit card, think about it, if a credit card is stolen for whatever reason, they still have to do shit like forge signatures, (Here in the UK, we use our Personal ID codes too which arn't exactly easy to guess), your saying.. if you have one of these implants.. you just show them your arm, and you're automatically billed?

As i say, if someone found a way to duplicate one of these, then all hell would break loose.
