i wont probably hl2 until i get a new comp to play on.. one guy in my clan might send over some new parts (moderboard processor ram and all that..) just so i can come back and play.. if so i go and buy hl2 the very day after..

else i think i have to wait until januari.. when i get some mroe cash to upgrade.. that is as earliest..

HL2 plays pretty good on 'older' machines imo. I had a chance to run it on my laptop, and i can play it pretty well, without the DX9 shaders, on a respectable resolution, so no worries here ;)

yeah there are sooo many variables that go into a gaming machine... the P3 pwn j00 only cause there cache was larger and a lot faster

i cant play bf1942 anymore.. my processor is slowly frying..so it get worse for everyday.. cant work in 3d apps.. or play games that require alot.. i can play warcraft though..

i wait with hl2 because i dont wanne have it in my hand and wont be able to play it,.,.

i got it! Just busy installing now. I install the whole package. HL2 , HL2DM, HL1:SOURCE, CS: SOURCE, everything! :D

it just takes ages. lol! Now installing SOURCE SDK..

Getting stuff from Steam is a pain. I tried twice in the past two days to get Day of Defeat, and it failed both times.

Man, I've just beem out for a week and there's already 30 new posts and threads...

I didn't buy HL2 because I was waiting for the collector's edition, but now that it is out too, I guess I'll buy it (sooner or later... lol)

the collectors edition is ok. I did expect a BIT more, but man, i just want my books now and i will be set!

ow, man, i forgot. I have to get some bots in HL2DM, because its MORE fun then CSS imo ;)

i'd prefer it over CSS, so why not? I already asked Alfred (if he still is part of Valve!?) to fix this crash bug when creating a fake client for HL2DM... ;)
