I don't know about you, but that seemed kind of harsh. What they should have done is just kicked his ass. Bruises heal, but what they did was pretty extreme.

I've seen it before.
It's a fake. Look at all the stuff that "just" comes falling when they drop the case to the ground.

That's why I like little private LANs with friends... ok, you can't play with 32 guys, but you know that the others are nice folk and that they don't cheat... and if you want more players - take bots. ;) They don't cheat, either... :D

Well, not without human help... and if you got the right humans around you, they won't do stuff like that... and afaik, aimbots do not cheat, they are cheats, or am I wrong?

still in my oppionen.. bots can cheat.. and they do that when they move or act faster or better then a humen ever could do..

@TruB: as its been said many-a-times over, you can't blame a bot for aiming like a bot. ;)

Yeah, I think the main problem with this is bots don't take distance into calculation when aiming. Like, at close range, people tend to be less accurate than at medium/far distance due to the people at close range seem to move faster, UT bot never took this into calculation, which's why I like to keep my fights with bots at medium/far distances so it's more fair. ;)

Bots cheat all the time cos they have no eyes and ears. let alone detect fog.
They cheat on about every piece of information they get.

However most bot coders make there bots act like humans....
They try to put in reaction times, Aim discrepancies, etc etc
But other than that it one big cheat. ;)
All engine events and network messages are available in an instant and reach bot before it even hits the NET.

Now we get into the question of how to define "cheat".

For me, cheat = deliberate attempt to break a previously agreed set of rules in order to confer an unjustified advantage over other users to oneself

The key word is "deliberate". This means that the action of cheating requires the WILL to do so, and generally base motives as a reason for this will to exist. This requires some kind of conscience, which is exclusive to mankind.

Bots and programs don't have a conscience, hence they can't have morals. Thus, they can't have noble or base motives, and as a consequence, no will of their own.

This leads to the conclusion that however big their advantage at certain things is, it is never a cheat - according to my definition at least... ;)

I remember this one website that had one that hooked up all the power to a router. Mass carnage. They also had a BNC killer and some other stuff.
