Heyyo,

Let's just all hope this is the actual release date, cause we all know the current track record with release dates...

well, this is Vivendi giving us the word. I think thats a bit more reliable then valve's word :D

Re: HL2 nov 16 2004............time to revist Black Mesa

Heyyo,

Yeah, no offense to hardcore valve supporters, but I like vivendi better cause they acutally care aboot gamers. Like, you can get Tribes2, a game made in just the year 2000, for free. YEP! it's freeware now. ;)

And HL1? it's still $20, and CS is still $40.. they're old games, they should be bargain bin prices ($8-$15) not these rediculously high prices that you pay for new games like Max Payne2, n' so on... Hopefully the release of HL2 will lower these prices if any new gamer wants to experience how HL began :)

Or will we? You know how everyone likes to visit Gordon during the incident. Like OP4, for example.

What if we were teleported back in time to stop the incident, but ended up causing it?

What ever happend with Adrian Shephard? Did he ever escape the alien world after being incarsarated there?

Re: HL2 nov 16 2004............time to revist Black Mesa

Heyyo,

I guess we'll all have to play HL2 to see if they tied in him, and the security guard from blueshift. ;)

I think this may be desided by some modders and not Valve :)

Heyyo,

I've seen a pic of comparison between HL1: Source and norm HL1, source does look nicer, but I say it's not enough to get me to buy the silver edition of HL2... search on google, I'm sure you'd find the pic..

Re: HL2 nov 16 2004............time to revist Black Mesa

Who here actually has the time to go back and play through HL1 (classic) before nov. 16th? Does anyone agree with me that steam users will get the game a week or less before nov.16th? That's my guess... I've already shelled out the $60 for Silver through steam. Been pwning all the n00bs that didn't play the BETA! The new F10 model menu is spectacular! lol
I'm not so sure how much I'll like HL1 Source...
I guess it would be cool to play HL1 Source and then HL2 for the full 2-part Source series!
I'm sure going to have plenty of games to play this winter. Has anyone heard any news of a DOD:S Release?

MarD 21-10-2004 07:20

Re: HL2 nov 16 2004............time to revist Black Mesa

Heyyo,

Well, if you logon to steam, it shows DOD:S and you can purchase it... but it's not out yet...

And btw, I had time to play through HL1 before then, heck, I did it more like, twice (I'm waypointing the whole SP campaign for RCbot on Sven Coop. I have just 2 levels left, 1 is incomplete and I can't seem to find cause there's soo many levels, and the 2nd I can't load yet cause of a weird problem... I'll keep trying it. ;)).
