New 1.6 update, most hated?

I don't play 1.6, but I've heard that they f-ed up the crosshair, could somebody explain or show me a pic. I heard that there's a bigger delay to activate the 'scope' and something's different about the crosshair.

I never liked camping snipers so the update is sort of good for me :D
but i know how they feel... if they were going to slow down teh scope at least not that much.. I tried it and it was just TOO slow..
everything else is fine except for the solid radar.. if they were going to give us a solid radar due to the complaints they should've made it look better :(
the crosshair is fine.. only people that need it to be able to aim complain about it... with enough practice you won't need the crosshair as small as it was inorder to aim..

no the cross hair suxs bad....i now have massive cross hairs for all my guns..fast switching with snipers ... won't let u zoom untill u click zoom 3 times...it bnow takes longer for pistols crosshair to shrink when crouched and
the worst thing is u can get headshots easy ....worst update since for 1.6

edit:

thank god i haven't updated my client yet :) ..play offline :D

see it's these kind of people that need to learn how to aim by actually interpreting whats happening in game instead of keeping their eyes attached to a little cross in the middle of the screen..
a good way to practice is tape a piece of paper to just cover the crosshair and try playing...
you'll get really good.

You installed Steam, that's what. :( I have never seen a touchier software - it still interacts with my old CS 1.5, btw: If 1.5 crashed and I start Steam afterwards, => CRASH. And if Steam crashed and I forget to reboot before firing up CS 1.5 => CRASH. The only difference is that after a reboot due to a crash 1.5 will start properly, whereas Steam seems to break down permanently after 90% of all crashes and needs to be completely reinstalled afterwards. At least for me it was the only method that helped.
It's unbelievable... *sigh*

oh you poor guys, i had only minor trouble with steam, so to say for me benefit and PAIN are about equal, for a 15€ game no bad comments from me...
(i delete clientreg...blob and custuom.hpk after a steam crash, sometimes mp.dll too, this fixes it almost instantly)

cheers

You guys should get rid of Windows 95/98/Me and install XP first... it's not the parangon of robustness but it's MUCH more stable. And there's a fundamental difference: the memory model and the hardware resources are this time handled entirely by the OS. Thus if one app crashes, nothing else goes wrong. Instead of having several applications calling and relaying to each other in a chain like in the Win9x multitasking style, here it's the OS which dispatches the priorities and manages the task switching. One single application crashing doesn't fuckup the entire system.

SF, we talked about it on IRC... man, do something, your computer is just unusable as of yet. Crashing 20 times a day, I mean what's the point of even turning it on ???
