Re: Oktoberfest 2004

yo Pierre, now that i know when yer coming, i have book a way down there for a measly 11.50€. awesome deal :)

i will be leaving nuenberg at 15:30.......it should take 2 to 2 1/2 hours so i may be arriving a bit later than you at the bahnhof. The guy thats taking me has a transporter so its not a BMW ripping up the autobahn.

best would be to stay at the main train station there until i arrive.....and then we can get the party started :)

carry a sign that says PODBOT2.6 so i knew who to look for :)

you better gotta get there or I break into your house and drag you there by kicking you in the butt :D j/k

München HBF at 19h13 for us. Is there a meeting point in this station ? A macdonalds perhaps ?

*edit*

lol w00t cool you come after all :D

okay, now question is, what will the weather be like in München next week ? Cos if it's cold or overcast or rainy I'll carry my scary hat and you cannot miss me ;)
Else if it's warm/sunny I'll have some geek T-shirt probably...
anyway I'll post photos of me + the clothes I'll wear so that you'll know what to look for :)
good thing if we had one too... *edit 2* a pic of you, I mean

btw, you said someone's taking you there, so I assume you bring friends with you ? how many will you be ? :)

Re: Oktoberfest 2004

im being simply dropped off somewhere in munich. i will then have to find my way to the hauptbahnhof. There is surely one McDonalds there but meeting at a specific track number is even more specific :) we meet at track 10, at 20:00-20:30 (im not even sure if i can make it there then....the guy will surely be slow).

It's not a friend I am bringing....I am going to meet one :)

i will have to ride back on wednesday tho man.....so its 2 nights of party and im gone :)

i dont know what the weather will be like next week and i dont have a up-to-date pic of myself. ill carry a sign that says GURU Mappage:)

Re: Oktoberfest 2004

Well, it's all in German... I just had a quick peek and until Monday, Sep 27, the weather is supposed to be more or less the same: 4-10° C at night (getting colder), between 16 and 18° C by day. Only slightly cloudy, and the rain risk doesn't rise above 10% during these days, according to that forecast.

Re: Oktoberfest 2004

sounds good except for the night temperature

are you doing a sleeping bag overnight pierre?

Re: Oktoberfest 2004

yeah. We'll be in town, so the temps are usually a bit warmer near the ground. And we'll have a "survival blanket", you know that thing we carry around in raids and such, so if we are to sleep on some wet ground, we can... we never know anyway.

I'm loading the digicam, it was at flat. Then I'll post a nice pic of my ass so that you can't miss it :P

Aspirin, any news by your side ?

Re: Oktoberfest 2004

just looking up train connections ...

fine, one train going all the way from heidelberg to munich without the need to change train ... 3 hours of travelling though

and you guys wanna arrive there at monday evening, 20-20:30 at track 10 is definite meeting point ?

I won't take much stuff with me I guess, just being there for a night and a day, I still gotta learn for my math exams ( once again :) ) and I guess one week of munich would be too much ;)

Re: Oktoberfest 2004

I'm not fond of that "track 10" idea... the track may be very long and very crowded, or even the track numbers might not count up to 10, what to do then ?? :D

I'd prefer another idea, like, there must be shops or something, or cafés, or a McDo like in Amsterdam. Is there a map of the station somewhere on the net ?

rrrraaaahh I'm upset, I digicammed myself but I can't find the cable to plug the camera with the puter now !! searching for 2 hours grrrrrrrrrrrrr
