Their nading is alright, I definetly want to see improvment there :)
Also some bots tend to crowd around ladders and such, like on cbble right out of t spawn dead ahead I sometimes see them crowd, after like 2 seconds if they can't get up, they just run up the ramp... The problem is that the bots get pushed around as they all flock to that point and thus the lead bot gets pushed to 90 degrees of the ladder and you can't climb a ladder when you are perpendicular from it, but it kept trying and pushed and shoved and all that, so most bots gave up... But after a few rounds I found then that less bots used the ladder but went for the ramp right away... They all had nades out and all and then it was a barrage of explosions :D These bots are very nice, could use just a little work and all, but I'm impressed :) Oh and they are extreme cpu hogs XD 3.2ghz here |

Any of you try them on custom maps? They work on every map but assault.. anyone know why they rarely buy weapons on assault?

They work even better on custom maps with manually tuned nav files! I've started up the new tutorial here:

Whitman I moderate other boards and if I wouldnt say anything you may have continued that when there was absolutely no point when one post would do the same, other posts with same msg dont do anything good

CS_twilight. Works nice, but damn the ladder part doesn't work right, I tried waypointing the ladder n' everything, I did it like most showed, but still no luck... I'm gonna try to mod that ladder again, if I get it working I'll post a zip of it in the waypoint section of these forums. ;) |

I've actually already posted tuned nav files for cs_twilight and de_inferno (which also goes by de_inferno_soop) in the filebase! The bots use the fire escape on twilight, and they work even better on inferno! You should check out the nav file to see how i did that ladder on cs_twilight. Up, up and aaaawwwwaaay!
I just tried them, and I'm very impressed. They're nade usage could use a lot of improvement, and I saw them get stuck a couple of times, but aside from that they're great.
I really like how they always stick together each round and play as a squad, helps to discourage humans from going 'lone wolf'. Too many times did I break from the squad and attempt to fight on my own, only to run into their entire team and get my ass mowed down before I can even duck back around the corner. Kudos to Turtle Rock. |

i tried them aswell, (i have a very , very limited internet connection right now), and i must say, i am impressed. Especially by some very nice scenarios where you can see as if they are really working as a team. They act very good, and i am also very impressed with their aiming!

Just got them too, and am impressed as well. Safe to say its one of the best bots hands down, and a definate goal to work towards with my own bot.
The nade handling is still screwed up - I was on cs_office for a while, and kept getting naded by my own teammates. I'm guessing that in the nav file somewhere, there are "hints" or markers where a nade would be a good idea (they always seem to do it around corners), which is a good thing, but they never take into account teammates in the area when they decide to do this - so theres been quite a few times where I'd be leading a pack, walk around the corner, then see a friendly nade tossed my way because it seems the bot already forgot I was there. >:( Or, I'd see one bot after another come up to the same corner, stop and nade it, then go on, 2 or 3 one right after the other! 9_9 After so many nades, its safe to say its clear, but they were too "automatic" about it. |

That they do mal. You see, they diddn't bother to upgrade the hostages yet with the same ai of the bots. They still have their really basic, and bad ai... Not only did the hostage ai of CZ do better, but even old CS 1.6 and down! >:( Ugh, until they fully release CSS without these super accurate guns and fixed hitboxes, I think I'll stick with cs 1.6... |

I don't feel like downloading HL1 content again, so I'm sticking with my CSS for now...
Yea new hostage AI, and fixed hitboxes are my top two things I want to see... |
