I believe you can still download QBasic4 (older but better version of QuickBasic) from the Microsoft website... a true BASIC IDE with a native BASIC compiler 8D ... look for it.

nope, any versions of QBasic are proprietary software and cannot be downloaded. You still need to have access to MS-DOS 5.0 or higher, Windows 98 (in somewhere on CD, just search it) or Windows NT 4.0 to get it.
