Re: How to deal with cheaters at lans
Now we get into the question of how to define "cheat".
For me, cheat = deliberate attempt to break a previously agreed set of rules in order to confer an unjustified advantage over other users to oneself The key word is "deliberate". This means that the action of cheating requires the WILL to do so, and generally base motives as a reason for this will to exist. This requires some kind of conscience, which is exclusive to mankind. Bots and programs don't have a conscience, hence they can't have morals. Thus, they can't have noble or base motives, and as a consequence, no will of their own. This leads to the conclusion that however big their advantage at certain things is, it is never a cheat - according to my definition at least... ;) /philosopher mode off |

The only true way to deal with hackers. Works even better if the person is wearing headphones. |

I remember this one website that had one that hooked up all the power to a router. Mass carnage. They also had a BNC killer and some other stuff.
http://www.fiftythree.org/etherkiller/ It appears to be down. They had the American version. BOFH in action. |
