There are more places, but this one is the worst, mail me and i'll be glad to give you screenshots and more examples.

A small optical bug in Friends -> edit profile -> Sounds is a non localized message (the first) named "#TrackerUI_PLaySoundWhenFriendJoin", should be "Sound abspielen, wenn Freund in ein Spiel einsteigt".

Also the german umlauts (a with two dots above and so on) are not shown in map objective informations, those texts are funy, but not usefull.

And finaly i would realy like to have a button to trigger that local cache file repair stuff, i re-installed the 380 mb steamcache 6 times since last november...

I don't believe the lame STEAM team will do that , sorry but this is real , I have mail them (STEAM) about my CD-KEY(lame I can't register my cd-key) problem for about five times but they ignore them every times and said that they will help us in a time of one or two years ! So don't bother mailing them , I advise you , memed , sorry but this is really real , and finally , I had to bought a new piece of HL $15 and I am broke now ...

well thx for the advice, but buying a new steam cd wont fix my unreadable buttons or missing chars in the mission ojectives, and at least i dont suffer, i can switch to english and most is readable.
just some of my mates don't speak english all to well, they need the localization, or me to tell which button to press 8o
i hoped they will foward it to somebodoy who make that language stuff atleast they once claimed that fixed (the umlauts stuff).
your problems are difficult, mine are obvious. i wrote that mail to make a fun for me, you have real trouble, like the non broadband users.
on the other hand we need broadband services, or broadband will never come to places where it's more expensive to make the technology available.

You're not the same in this situation memed... Steam is also unreadable in French. I'd bet it's the same for all the other languages than English where a message can't be reduced to an assembly of generic words put in a certain order, and where grammar and vocabulary are much more demanding. It just doesn't fit in those 2cm wide buttons

I use Steam in English too... it's a pity because when I play Half-Life or Opposing Force with Steam, the speeches are no more in French

And I have no problem reading/writing English (or little, I hope so) - just "hearing" it is more tricky

oh OT, i just made an online IQ test in english it calls me "insightful linguist", but i prefere the radio commands in german, it's harder to overhear the english sounds when you are in action and listening to steps and stuff.
and for that gramma, well you can write it shorter and one should not do silly stuf like those 3 dashes in one word, also most online ppl. will know that "email" is an "electronic mail delivery address" *g*

Steam is even unusable with 2 e-mail adresses and 1 cd key of the same person..

i cannot play with my stefan@bots-united.com e-mail adres, because its not 'confirmed' and when i try to, it says "CD KEY IN USE".. logically because my old e-mail adres already has it.

Ok boys, because im a nice guy and also a mod at steampowered.com i will answer a few of your questions.

At the guys with cd key problems:
spend 5 $ on a new cd key

stefan, use your first account, account deletion is not featured yet.
i reported the localized button problem to waldo form valve. lets see what the do.
