Default [Question] Bot for a game - 30-05-2009

Hi,

I wanted to ask if it would be possible to make a bot for this game :
www.teeworlds.com

To move players have a hook. Does a bot could move using this hook system or its very very hard ?

I'm still wondering how I could do that xD

Thx

Well the source is available and the license is ok, so you could make a bot for it, but it would probably be hard. Using a hook or whatever to move isn't the issue - it's getting all the information together and then having a bot decide what to do, and that of course is specific to the game.

Well I started to make a bot but I'm having troubles to make him move.
I made an A* algo but dunno how to mak the bot follow this way due to gravity and how to make him use hook at the right place. :/

Welcome to A.I programming!
I don't really have the time to look at things and give proper suggestions in this case, but it sounds like you'll need a few physics or math calculations to help make bot decisions.
