Default Helicopter Missions I & II waypoints - 11-09-2012

With the wiki articles down, I am claiming these maps' waypoint here (quality payable WIP or better).
Specifically:
heli_m1_b2 (mission 1)
and
heli_m2_b1 (mission 2)

I am currently measuring team balance in the waypoint evaluation stage.
I'll post them soon, when my free time allows. Full button, elevator and helicopter support included.

(fyi Mission 3 hasn't interested me much yet, the logic of where the helicopter is placed escapes me.)

(RANT: to Mal's credit I can waypoint and play in a listen server window and spectate on another client window on the same laptop, yet I can't get a lag free game in just one listen server window in an omnibot waypoint for the same map. All Hail Mal !)

Mission 1 (heli_m1_b2) waypoints are now available at cfegames.com

Team balance acceptable (favors Allies), zombies mostly just engrs waiting for the helicopter to return. Even with small teams 7 vs 7 it is quite challenging.

I might in future make a version with a dynamite-able door to see if that improves the allied engineer play.


Mission 2 is almost acceptable in team balance so I will see if a bit of tweaking helps then post it soon.

And a quick tweak and the latest team balance was just right on the mark so Mission two waypoints are now posted at cfegames.com

with full bot support of the gun controls, door controls and helicopter. And the bots are nice enough to let you ride along too. The bots will stop using the helicopter after the door controls are built so feel free to use it to drop in on the Axis with a pineapple or two.

Waypoint Quality is pre-beta, no more changes are planned at this point.

So sign up to download at cfegames.com, download the waypoints, rename the file by removing the .zip, put the .pk3 waypoints in the fritzbot sub-folder to your Wolfenstein Enemy territory. Add the map to your etmain folder, fire up ET, switch mods to FritzBot and then load the map and give them bots a taste of your chopper.

And if its all worth your while drop a paypal coin in the cfegame slot to thank Ancient for hosting the waypoints.
