Default botweapons - 19-05-2008

Hi!

I want to change the configuration of the botweapons.cfg on mapchange.
My goal is to make the bots prefer submachine guns and pumpguns on narrow maps like cs_backalley and let them have sniperrifles on wide maps like aztec.

So far i've been fiddling around with amxx mapconfig plugin, by copying part of the botweapons.cfg into the map specific configfile and disabling those lines in the original botweapons.cfg, but without succsess.

On serverstartup things work fine, podbot adapts the desired behavior. But it sticks to it on mapchange. It appears, that the botweapons.cfg ist only utilized once (on startup).

I tried to let metamod reload podbod, but that doesn't work. As long as the server runs, reloading is postponed by metamod.

I force_unloaded podbot but then metamod refuses to reload the plugin.

So here I am, out of ideas

That is true. All config files (including boweapons.cfg) are loaded once at the map start. You are the first one asking about that feature. I don't know how many people may have benefities of it (if I would add it to any next version), so for now I will leave this request open.

Hmmmm,

well then Podbot ist going to behave like real people -
trying to buy AK47 or M4A1 no matter what the maplayout is.

Maybe thats why nobody requested that option so far. ;-)

Thx anyway for the fast response.
