Hey Mal, what are the commands for deleting Single nodes & actions? I didn't notice the command in your guide except the one that clears the whole map.

Setting both team action flags as -1 on an action seemed to make it "dissapear" for me.

I think if you set the group / team as -1 on nodes and actions they are ignored by the bots. I did this for a couple on Ice and stashed them behind one of the spawns.

That would work but there's gotta be some way to delete single nodes.

Mal hid this in the guide in a spot where you couldn't find it :p

"There is NO way to delete nodes or actions ATM outright. However, if you set a nodes flag to -1, or an actions allied and axis objs to -1, they are deleted for all intends and purposes. NOTE: DON'T just set a node thats connected to other nodes to -1. You have to make sure any connnections to it are deleted first (using node_resetlinks). Better yet - what I did was just reused nodes I didn't need somewhere else using the node_move cmd. You are encouraged to use this technique as well, for now."

Okay, i see that now, lol. Thanks Crapshoot. Maybe an option to delete single nodes/actions could be added in a later version?

Yes, it should be added. Its a bother tho, just because there is a lot of different systems that expect that such and such nodes of such and such number exist.

EX: the actions and their closest node. If you deleted a node, all of the node numbers would change, and everything would have to be recalced. The alt route system also will be node number specific. Not that thats so hard to recalc this stuff mind you, but I'm a lazy man.

I just always managed to find a use for a node somewhere else, but if you guys really want it, I'll add it.

Well that all depends really. Does having unconnected nodes laying around take up extra resources? If not, i don't see a problem with just tucking extra one's away and making them unavailable if they can't be deleted. The whole resources thing was mainly why i mentioned the delete option, but if they don't then no troubles there.

Besides as you said, they can come in handy later (i actually found uses for them later on), so no big deal really, just be more careful not to hit the Num 0 key Denny.

No - the memory for the nodes is created at runtime and is constant. Having a lot of VALID nodes can slow down the pathfinder, but if a node has a flag of -1, its ignored by EVERYTHING.

And yes, the few maps I waypointed, I always found a need for an unused node later.
