Default Fritzbot ET waypoint pack - 05-04-2006

Hello everybody

Good work on the ET Fritzbot project. I`m trying to find a waypoint pack file for various maps I have, though. Is there some site where I can find a comprehensive list of such files and download them?

The short answer is: No.

The long answer is: All of the currently supported maps are in the official release zip, a few additions are possible via this waypoint section of the forum - Rommel_final is in late beta and coming along nicely. There is no doubt from what I have read a strong effort in place currently to complete supported botfunctions that will allow additional maps to be added, along with many others either currently being worked or slated to be done.

So there is no large, external repository of such files because there is no bulk of them to be had just yet. Be patient, the crew is grinding away at the pace best befitting their allowable time for it and I can all but promise you that you'll be impressed with what they turn out if you hang tight for now and enjoy what's available.

The way is made clear when viewed from above.

Is the installation procedure of the Fritz ET bots similar to the RTCW version? I ask this because I couldn`t find some directories that I used to extract the files under the RTCW version.

Any map additions will be added to the filebase so that you can DL them at any time. Just look in the fritzbot category.

The dir setup is the same as fritz wolf. You may have to make them yourself.

I downloaded the Rommel_final map and the waypoint file from the Fritzbot site. I then extracted the waypoint file to the fritzbot directory and the map to etmain. The problem is that when I add bots they complain that they have no objective in the map and just stand still!

Am I missing something?

I think you just need to place the fritzRommel.pk3 in your fritzbot mod directory. If you downloaded this from the link in the other thread, the download will sometimes rename the file with a .zip extension. Just rename it back to .pk3.
