Default Sleeping bots on mp_rocket (RtcW) - 30-04-2006

Yesterday i tried all 49 supported maps for RtcW. They all seem to work great, except one: mp_rocket.

In the warm-up period they do the things what you can expect from the bots; they jump, shoot and fool around like normal players do. But when the match starts, they just hang around, occasionally one of them yells, and the lt.'s from both sides do some shooting in the air.

It doesn't matter how many bots are present, the behaviour is always the same. They stand still, looking plain dumb. Only if you ask for medikits, ammopacks or shoot at enemy soldiers, you'll get a brief reaction.

It's a normal mp map, so no special settings should be needed. Is it me, or need the waypoints on this map a little refreshing because of the latest updates for this marvelous mod?

Hans

P.s. I've witnessed some real nice waypoint-routines on the supported maps. Awesome job guys...

I'll look at it. I know that there are a couple of maps that I need to update (breakout is one). I'll add this to my list.

EDIT: Hmm, they seem to work for me. Just in case, try the ones I have attached.

Thanks for the swift reply, Ken..

Alas, the file didn't work. Not only on my computer, but it also failed on Sandra's.

You're running also the newest qagame_mp_x86.dll and ui_mp_x86.dll?

I think perhaps its the wrong map you have. Apparantly there is an mp_rocket out there that isn't the one that came with the GOTY map pack; and is a completely different map.

Inside your main folder, there should be a file called mp_pakmaps6.pk3 which contains the official mp_rocket that was waypointed for.

If you have this file, look for a mp_rocket.pk3 file in your main folder and remove it.

Your solution did the trick, Ken.. We had indeed another mp_rocket map in our main directory. After removing it, all works well.. Thanks a lot for your help, pal..
